Checked it out - all there!
Good to have it back - as someone who has been working on increasing charitable giving (and generally doing it in small amounts) was dreading 2022 taxes!
Thank you!
Thanks to the Intuit CEO and staff for the change in their decision to discontinue Itsdeductible. Thanks to all of you who joined me in expressing our support for Itsdeductible. Hopefully, to keep us with TurboTax for many years to come, Intuit will either keep Itsdeductible beyond this tax year or create a compatible platform with the same capabilities and convenience in importing the values to our annual 1040 tax submissions.
Note ... it is ONLY a stay of execution for one more tax year to give you more time to find something else. It is not a permanent reinstatement.
Unfortunately, TT only reinstated ItsDeductible for the 2022 Tax Year through October 15, 2023 (see below link from ItsDeductible) . After that, they will discontinue it again. If this many people rely on ItsDeductible and will switch tax programs, all the Income TT loses will be much higher than the cost of keeping ItsDeductible going!
TurboTax Help Intuit
Important: Intuit has decided not to discontinue ItsDeductible and will continue to support the tool through tax year 2022 (including preparation of 2022 returns until October 15, 2023). Your account and data will continue to be available without interruption. If you are an ItsDeductible user, you should have received a notification of this change on or about July 5, 2022.
ur ItsDeductible data.
We recommend keeping all tax return data for the last three years for your tax records.
Thank you for listening to your customers, who love ItsDeductible, particularly for valuing/tracking non-cash donations. The note sounds like ItsDeductible will only be around for 1 more year. PLEASE consider making ItsDeductible an app we can pay for in order to sustain it. I know I would gladly pay for it! There really is no other good option for valuing/tracking non-cash donations. Thank you!
Thank you Thank you Thank you!!! Thanks for listening and we'd love it if It's Deductible functionality was "baked in" as part of Turbo Tax's functionality permanently. It really is an integral part of our tax filings and what we like about Turbo Tax! Thanks again for listening

You need to make your wishes known to those who can affect this outcome.
Use the contact information found in this thread for that purpose.
I agree. Even though they have given ItsDeductible a reprieve it looks like it's for only one more year. Might be the time to pull the plug and check out H&R Block.

Or you can voice your concern via a letter to the decisionmakers.

ItsDeductible continuing for the current tax year is fantastic news! I have been looking for another means of tracking charitable contributions but was finding nothing. Using ItsDeductible in conjunction with TurboTax is so incredibly convenient. I understand that your commitment is only for this year, but I sincerely hope that ItsDeductible will continue to be available for many years to come.
I want to thank you to Intuit for listening to users and deciding to continue ItsDeductible. It appears it may be only for a year, so I want to join my voice to the chorus for a subscription application. I will gladly pay a reasonable fee to have the convenience of ItsDeductible for loading all of my charitable donations into Turbotax. It saves a great deal of time and effort.
Thank you. That will help of course for this year. It would also be helpful to be able to download the data to a .csv file which is much more portable than a pdf.
Thanks so much to the "powers that be" for deciding to continue the ItsDeductible. Although I was among the ones who always complained about its lack of alphabetization, I confess I was frantic when I thought the service was being taken away completely. Thanks for giving us another tax-year's reprieve. Please consider extending it past 2023!!!!! I'm under the impression that Mint requires us to grant access to our bank accounts like with Quicken, etc. I just want the contribution-record function, not a checkbook-categorization function. Thanks again though for giving me another year of ItsDeductible.
My kudos to whomever in Intuit made the decision to reinstste It's Deductible, even if only for one year. Now I can continue its use for my 202return. All I have to do is enter those contributions I made during the inactive time, which I had recorded on an Excel spreadsheet.
Like many others, if the issue is It's Deductible not paying for itself, I, like many others, would be happy to pay an extra fee for its continuation. Either that or make it an integral part of TT and amortize its costs over a much wider population. it might even convince many of us to stay with TT rather than switch to H&R Block or Tax Act. It might even bring in some NEW TT users...
Now is the time to petition Intuit to keep the program either as is or in a "for fee" version. I sent an email to: [email address removed] (use com not con).
