Why must I pay $24 to e-file when I already paid for your software?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
If you used desktop software there is a fee to e-file the state return. You got the software to prepare the state return but if you want to avoid the state e-file fee, then print, sign, and mail the state instead of efiling it.
My problem is that when I try to pay for my state tax e-file, I get the following message on my screen, "Hmm... it looks like we’ve hit a slight snag
Please try again or check back in a bit."
I have now reset my password 3 times in the past hour, I can't get signed on to pay the e-file fee. I continue to get the, "Hmm... it looks like we’ve hit a slight snag
Please try again or check back in a bit." message. What else need I do?

Did you ever get this resolved? I am having the same issue!
@JeanneLO Will this also be the case if using Turbo Tax software that is downloaded onto my computer (vs. logging into the website)?
@Aa30 In addition to clearing your cache and cookies, you want to make sure your operating systems are up-to-date as well.
