Please see the thread here for more information on importing Fidelity. A few suggestions were to use a different browser and remove pop-up blockers. Have you tried a different browser like Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome? Many people have stated using Edge and removing the pop-up blockers has helped. Please let us know if you are successful using a different browser.
I'm not sure why NetBenefits is a selection. 1099-R forms have (historically) never been available as tax import files from that Particular site...maybe they are going to change that...but I connected earlier this year and the wasn't anything there. I entered my 1099-R forms manually, as I always have to do.
I did get my regular Fidelity account downloads form the other brokerage account selection...1099-INT, -DIV and -B/8949
I selected Fidelity Investments-Net Benefits (which is what my Fidelity account is) and I got the same failure. So, I tried just the 2nd selection, Fidelity account selection instead and it had me enter the Intuit password information to enter Fidelty site. After successfully entering the password, it imported my Fidelity data. The confusion is the two Fidelity choices when Net benefits is the account but not connected to the correct import site. I never had this problem before in the decades that I used TT. This is a terrible and confusing handshake to Fidelity importation, needs work.
No I have had two cases two numbers and both closed within a day
. I think its a internal thing where lets not keep anything open, lets just accept the fact and congratulate the team for a job well done in answering the phone. Its abysmal that one person changed browser and now its a solution, everyone is happy and problem solved . Unfortunately I tried everything , various browsers but somehow it finally worked with Fidelity for me two days ago. Prior I was getting minimal information and missing all transaction so I had an empty 8949, but one actual download of 1099-Misc.
On another note, surprised that no one on facebook and TT responded to my queries on the issues? Well at least I got badges, kudos and will see next year if the same with H & R Block.
This does not solve the problem
You can import to the free online version.
The problem seems to be only with TurboTax premier desktop
any update?
Had the same problem, resolved in the beginning of March.
You have to have all the TT updates loaded. Best wat is to uninstall the desktop program, and then download program again from the start. Make sure you have program sales receipt code, before uninstalling.
Does it save the information / data ?
The info is saved in a separate file, and will not be deleted when you uninstall the program. You can check the file in " file explorer ", before deleting the program.
Confirm will not work with Brave. Changing default to Edge Browser Worked. How to change it:
Change your default search engine in Microsoft Edge - Microsoft Support
Check information on running MS 11OS and the third-party app information
