I accidentally threw away the 14 character activation code after installing turbotax. How can I retrieve my code from my install copy? Is it stored in the registry?

No you have to call in and ask for another License Code.  And please remove your email address.  This is a public user forum and the whole world can see it.  You will get spammed, scammed, etc.  And anyone can email you and say they are Turbo Tax.

I have the same exact issue.  I paid for the software,  installed it, filed my taxes and I just want to check the status and it is asking for the code again.   Very frustrating...

I am in the middle of a return and can't access it because I lost my activation code.  I can't even access the completed returns saved as PDF's on my desktop.  Turbo tax say since I purchased from a retailer they cannot help me.  It seems crazy that I will need to purchase another 80.00 program to finish up this return.  I have the folder the CD came in but not the activation code which I tore off and probably threw away.  HELP

  You have to access your own account and/or  print it for yourself using exactly the same account and user ID that you used when you prepared the return.

Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them.  Log out of the account you are in now.

SAVE YOUR TAX RETURN !

EVERY year before mid-October you should save a copy of your tax return as a pdf and print a copy of it for your records.  That way you will not be searching online frantically when you need it for a lender, FAFSA forms, your next tax return, etc.
