Did you figure anything out my problem is exactly what yours is I've bern trying since November still nothing went to j&r block they paper filed but now I see they are not doing paper file taxes I'm getting pretty pissed about the whole **bleep** phone thing even tho its shut down they can have phone calls transferred to there **bleep**ing ho
I have not heard anything back so I did some research. Some people were never issued a PIN. Searched Google abd YouTube. I found that you can paper file or mail in return>mind you this take longer. There is a woman yesterday that you have to call very early in the morning 7 or I think 8. I haven't tried this yet. The woman on YouTube statedshe was able to get her pin reset it just takes a few weeks and you have to have ways of proving who you are. Best thing Id do is make copies of your return(s) and mail them in with photo copy proof of who you are. Mail those copies to the IRS and keep one just in case you do somehow get through to changing ut PIN please let me know. But do try to call them early in the morning...the lady stated though it says no one is taking calls she was able to get through to someone calling the IRS number 8am
It depends upon which PIN you are referring to.
The IRS discontinued the use of the e-filing PIN. You will need to use your 2018 Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) instead. See the following links for more information.
If you have an 6 digit PIN from the IRS, this is used to verify your identity if you have been a victim identity theft in the past.
If you need to obtain your 6-digit PIN from the IRS, you will need to contact them.
I did my taxes but its saying that i need to enter my ipn that i dont have and cant get it because the irs is close and cant get it on line cause i dont have the proof that there asking for so what do i do
Samn here you can only paper file and they will not touch those tell this virus over were screwed
The IRS call centers are unavailable due to the whole coronavirus pandemic. I've tried calling so many times because I just need a new IP Pin. I also have downloaded the app IRS2go and it keeps people updated on everything.
I don't have my pin and I cant talk to anyone at irs everytime I try to go online it says my information does not match their records how can I get my tax information from 2018. I filed thru turbo tax 2018.

The 2018 AGI is on the 2018 Federal tax return you filed Form 1040 Line 7

To access your current or prior year tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the userID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show. Click on the Year and Click on View adjusted gross income (AGI)
Or go to this IRS website for free federal tax return transcripts - https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
If your tax return continues to be rejected with the 2018 AGI then enter a 0 (zero) for the AGI and e-file again.
If this is also rejected then you will have to print and mail the tax return.
See this TurboTax support FAQ for printing a tax return for mailing - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/printing/help/how-do-i-print-and-mail-my-return-in-turbotax-online...

[phone number removed]
number was removed. Can you provide it again?
If you are one of the people that the IRS has issued an IP pin, then you have to enter it if you intend on e-filing. Most taxpayers don't need an an IP PIN — the IRS only issues them in select cases. In this case - IP stands for Identity Protection. This IRS only issues these to people who have issues with identity theft in the past.
