Looks like you are in LIVE Deluxe. First remove LIVE.How to remove Turbo Tax Live. There are 2 different ways to remove Live depending on how you added it

Then to go back to a lower version or the Free Edition you can try to clear and start over https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/using-turbotax/help/how-do-i-clear-and-start-over-in-turbotax-onli...
If you started your tax return in TurboTax Free Edition (Form 1040 with limited credits; roughly 37% of taxpayers qualify), you won't need to clear and start over. You can select Switch to Free Edition instead.
In the Turbo Tax Free Edition, information that you can enter is limited now. Why do I have to upgrade from the Free Edition?

Or try the IRS Free File program

None of those options exist that you described.
To downgrade:
However, if your tax situation requires expanded coverage, TurboTax will prompt you to upgrade to a version that supports the forms you need so that we can maximize your tax deductions and ensure you file an accurate return. Some of the situations that are now in TurboTax Deluxe instead of in Free Edition, include:
After complaining about this, the Switch Products option has now been enabled. However, all the options for Downgrade are grayed out and can not be selected. The only options it will allow are upgrade to Live Premium or Live Full Service. I only want Deluxe or Premium. I never selected Live, you force-switched me to Live without my consent. Now you have programmatically removed any option to switch back to that, and tell me that I can not complete my taxes unless I consent to an additional paid upgrade to Live Full Service that I never needed, never wanted, and never selected. You're trying to hold my taxes hostage for more money. This is no way to treat a customer that has used TurboTax for 20 straight years. I won't be scammed by Intuit.
Why has Intuit made fraud their main business model?!?
If the downgrade options are greyed out then the system believes that some information that you have entered requires the deluxe version. In order to downgrade in that case you will have to delete the information that you entered or delete the return and start over.
@Anonymous
No, that is incorrect. It's not a matter of the deluxe version. It's a matter of forcing me into the LIVE version, when I started in the DIY version, and never consented to be force changed to the LIVE version. I want the DIY Premium version, but I am being forced into getting Live help that I do not want or need, nor will I pay for. This is a bait-and-switch fraud. Telling me to erase everything and start over is an additional fraudulent tactic, as that is a method to make me want to just give up and pay the extortion fee for live. When clearing and starting over, I am forced back into this same rabbit hole AGAIN without my consent. I am only blocked from the DIY Premium version as you have programmatically made it impossible to switch. Additionally, your "Price Preview" option shows completely different pricing than what you force me to pay in the end for Live guidance which I have NOT selected nor do I want. I have filed an FTC complaint of this fraud. I will clear and start over again, but after 20 years using TurboTax, I will start over in a non-fraudulent software product that is not made by Intuit. Intuit clearly has no intention of pursuing ethical business standards, and has made fraud their main business model.
