When you use desktop software, there is an additional fee to e-file a state return.  You can avoid that fee if you print, sign and mail the state return.  The state e-file fee is $19.99 and increases in March.

I click on the link to download TurboTax for 2020 tax year, click on Mac, attempt to order Deluxe and it tells me that my next delivery is for 2021 available in November.

Sounds like you are on the Advantage auto renew sign up page.  That is to get next year's 2021 program in November.

Well, yes I did mess up and signed up for the Advantage plan.  :(

I click your link, I click Mac, it shows that I have 2 quantity... I drop that to 1, continue and get a page that shows me

I've been going in this circle all morning.  I want 2020 now, not 2021 in November.  

At this point I am afraid to either Continue My Purchase Anyway and pay another $70.  

If I click on Go To My Account I see

TURBOTAX HOME & BUSINESS TAX YEAR 2019 MAC ACCESS FROM DELUXE

 I don't want 2019, I want 2020.

To get the License Code from Amazon, One user said......
I was just having this same issue, but I just figured it out. So I thought I'd share in case you are still looking for an answer. Go to Your Account; then Digital Games and Software (under Digital Content and Devices section at the bottom middle); your TurboTax purchase should show there under Downloads and Codes; the license code will be the 16 digit code next to "Activation Key". Hope this helps!

To complete and file a 2020 tax return using TurboTax you would need to purchase, download and install on a personal computer one of the 2020 desktop editions from this website - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/

A 2020 tax return can only be printed and mailed, it cannot be e-filed.

To access your prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the section Your tax returns & documents.  Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created.  TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.
