Change your phone number to a US number in the Intuit Account of Turbo Tax. No need to verify this number in the Intuit Account just click exit when your are done. Then go back to you return an continue filing.
Solution: Intuit Account -> Sign In & Security -> Phone (change & save no need to verify) -> back to e-file and retry.

I have changed my phone number and it still does not e-file.
If you changed the phone number in your Intuit Account settings to a valid USA number, and still get the same 601ERRV:5 error when efiling, then try this:
If still not working after all that, it "might" be possible for some users to leave the Intuit Account phone number blank. If you try that, then after saving your setting, log out and close the browser as described above. Then try again.
Same here - changing numbers did not work.
You are commenting on an old thread that may contain outdated information. Do you have a specific question we can assist you with?
Yes please getting very frustrated.
TC is up to date.
Intuit account is fine.
No errors on return.
Upon trying to file electronically get "the intuit electronic system is having difficulty recognizing the data in the return etc'
What next?
Thank you for commenting.
We still need additional information in order to point you in the direction that will best get this resolved.
What is the additional information in the message? Are there any error codes within the message? Are you using a US phone number?
No erroe codes.
Yes to us phone number.
Balance of message is 'recognizing the data in the return you are sending. Make sure your TT program is up to date. Go to tax online menu and select check for updates. If you still can't transmit your return, go to www.support.turbotax.com for a solution or workaround. In some cases you may need to file this return by mail - tax year 2021 transmissions are not available - TT is not ready to process tax year 2021 for this return.
Please check to see if all the forms needed for your return are available.
Please see this Turbo Tax FAQ on the availability of IRS forms.
Federal Individual Form Availability
Please see this Turbo Tax FAQ on State forms availability for personal use.
State forms availability table for TurboTax individual (personal) tax products.
Simple return, married filing joint, no dependents, soc ial security and unemployment for income, standard deductions that's all.
All forms seem to be there.
I'm having the same issue with trying to efile Turbo Tax Business return in the state of Maryland.
Error prompt is: "The Intuit Electronic Filing System is having difficulty recognizing the data in the return you are sending. Make sure your TurboTax program is up-to-date. Go to the Online menu and select Check for Updates. If you still can't transmit your return, go to www.support.turbotax.com for a solution or workaround. In some cases, you may need to file this return by mail. - Tax Year 2021 transmissions are not available. - TurboTax Business is not ready to process Tax Year 2021 for this return." There's also no error codes listed either. At first glance is seems all MD forms are available as well required for a typical Partnership LLC? Correct me if I am wrong.
Hopefully someone will enlighten us soon. My request was 4 hours ago.
Please reach out to TurboTax Customer Support as your issue would be best resolved with one-on-one support.
What is the TurboTax phone number?
I don't think this is a "one-on-one" issue. There should be some type of list out there that would trigger this message. It's in the code somewhere.
I could have this figured out in minutes if there was just a guide as to what to troubleshoot. If there's 2 of us having this issue, there's probably 50,000 others at least.
