Last year when I did my taxes, I got a premium tax credit for health care and reconciled it. I ended up getting a refund for it because I didn't get as much of a credit as I should. Turbo tax filed my taxes with a schedule 3 showing my refund due.
This year, I had the same exact situation, but turbo tax did not include a schedule 3 with my taxes. I'm due a refund and can't figure out why there was no schedule 3 with my return. Any ideas?

Have you already filed? Did you get a letter from the IRS?
Here is how to get the form 8962 filled out. Please note: You are NOT going to amend your return and you are NOT going to add a state return. These directions are quirky but will get the job done.
The IRS may adjust your refund once they receive your form 8962.
My 8962 got filled out and submitted by turbo tax. But there is a spot that says to enter the difference, and if it's more than 0, write that number on a schedule 3. Well, mine was about 600 dollars different but turbo tax didn't report it on a schedule 3
it may not have been something that was reported on Schedule 3. For an example, if it was a premium tax repayment, it may have been reported on a Schedule 2, line 2. Check your forms to see if that might be the case,
Schedule 2 line 2 is if you receive too much of a tax credit and are required to pay it back to the government. My case was the opposite. My credit was lower than it should have been so it should have been reported on a schedule 3 so I could get that money back in my refund. I just don't know why the schedule 3 wasn't filled out

Look at your Form 8962. Is there an amount on Line 26 or on Line 29? Line 26 would be the Net Premium Tax Credit which would be entered on Schedule 3.
The Form 1040 and attached schedules changed significantly from 2018 to 2019. The schedules were reduced from six to three.
In 2019, any repayment of the Advance Premium Tax Credit will show on Schedule 2, line 2. Any additional Net Premium Tax Credit received will be reported on Schedule 3, line 9.
If you purchased insurance through the marketplace and received a 1095-A, that must still be reported on your return. This will calculate the Net Premium Tax Credit on Form 8962. This form reconciles the amount of the credit available to you with the amount already received as an Advance Premium Tax Credit. The result could be additional credit owed to you, or you may have to repay any amount already received in advance. Because of either of these results, it is important for taxpayers to include the information from Form 1095-A on their return.
That's the crazy thing. Line 26 says in the instructions that you subtract line 25 from line 24 and if the number is greater than zero, write it here and on schedule 3.
Line 24 on mine is 2272
Line 25 on mine is 1620.
So line 26 should have been 652. And that should have been entered on a schedule 3.
Except turbo tax just entered a zero on line 26
Yeah, my net premium credit should have been 652 bucks on a schedule 3. But turbo tax put a zero on the line and didn't fill out a schedule 3 and I can't figure out why
Do you have anything on Line 2 of Schedule 2?
No, I don't. And schedule 2 is for paying excess back. But that's not my case
The reason why is that you probably paid the correct premium amount that neither was an excess or an underpayment. You might contact phone support so they can look at your return to make a determination if you were due an excess. Every year, you must check with the marketplace and give them an estimated what your income will be during the year. You may have correctly stated your income amount when you did that.
Did you ever get this resolved? The same thing happened to me, and I only caught it because I had incorrectly entered one of the boxes on my 1095-A so the IRS sent me a letter informing me of my mistake. Upon reviewing the 8962, I noticed that my
line 24 is 6001
line 25 is 5754
line 26 says, "Net premium tax credit. If line 24 is greater than line 25, subtract line 25 from line 24. Enter the difference here and on Schedule 3 (Form 1040 or 1040-SR), line 9..."
however TurboTax calculated line 26 as '0' and no schedule 3 was included.
No I didn't. I will probably file with a different company next year since nobody could give me any answers about it. That 600 bucks just evaporated
