This is very helpful and makes alot of sense thank you, when you say 'estimated quarterly payments' is that the only time interval option? Could I just wait till I file my taxes at the end of the year to pay the state taxes I owe in Montana? I ask because it would be easier for me financially to pay the difference all at once when I file versus paying NC and MT taxes in parallel throughout the year THEN getting reimbursed for the NC taxes once I file. If that makes sense.
There may be penalties if you wait til the end of the year. See Estimated Tax Penalties and Interest in this Montana tax reference:

Hi @xmasbaby0 ,
I have a similar concern, you mentioned the IRS doe not concern about auto registration. I am a resident of NY, and have a second home in FL. I'm the sole proprietor of an LLC registered in Fl at my Florida home. I'm planning on buying a car for my LLC, mainly for business purposes and expanding my client base in the state of NY, so the car will be used more often in NY. I was thinking of registering the car in NY, but the LLC is in Florida, so I'm not sure if that would be possible. I have a personal car in NY and a Personal Car in Fl, so this new one would be for business purposes only.
Any suggestion or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
