Could I just wait till I file my taxes at the end of the year to pay the state taxes I owe in Montana? I ask because it would be easier for me financially to pay the difference all at once when I file versus paying NC and MT taxes in parallel throughout the year THEN getting reimbursed for the NC taxes once I file. If that makes sense.
