Waiting for your refund because the IRS is extremely backed up is not an audit.
WOW! I mean is it just me or is everyone a ditz or maybe they just feel like they're smart in some way no one but them seems to care??? See because that was NOT an appropriate answer to the **bleep**ing question, was it KAREN?
NOPE sure wasn't jean! what about you Phil? do you think that was an answer to the paragraph in question?
Now, now charnelle put your **bleep** fire out there's no need to get so worked up and over frazzled to a comment!
Phil is now loving his window sticker to park anywhere with front row parking! moral of that sceen karen is... Being Ostentatious can be crippling to ones self. Food for thought there
@charnelle03 Your issue is not clear. Did you receive a letter or notice of some sort from the IRS? Did the IRS request more information from you in order to process your tax return? Or are you still just waiting for your refund? There are a lot of delays in processing returns. No one at TurboTax gets any information from the IRS after you file your return, so no one can update you on what the IRS is doing with your refund except for the IRS itself.
You say you purchased MAX. MAX is an add-on feature that can help with certain issues like help if you are audited or if you have identity theft issues. But MAX cannot help you with a delayed refund. A delay in processing your refund can happen for many reasons----a delay does not mean you are being audited. If you are being audited you will receive a letter from the IRS about that.

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2021 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM THE IRS/STATE
TurboTax does not receive any information from the IRS or your state after your return was filed, so no one at TurboTax knows about a letter you received from the IRS or the state.

AUDIT SUPPORT
TurboTax has a special phone number for help with IRS/state tax letters, which will be easier than going through regular Customer Support. At the page below, click on the blue button that says "Get Help from TurboTax Support". Then it will ask you what tax year is your letter. Then it will ask you what the letter concerns. Then it will show you the phone number during posted business hours.

"if things were not asked for or are wrong its on them?"
