Same here. Hope they fix it soon !
Please follow the assistance here when your return is rejected. If the issue is still occurring, it is best to follow the instructions here to contact us by phone. @MS2022
@CarissaM These returns are NOT being rejected. They do not successfully TRANSMIT in the first place. The problem is within the TurboTax software. This issue is not end-user error and should not be treated as such.
You tell 'em! It is not user error. It is unacceptable that this is not corrected.
@colleenlobrien Yep. I honestly do not think that TurtleTax is going to fix this since they have not come up with much of a fix yet. I saw in your post that you were able to transmit a simple return, but another remains stuck. I filed on paper a few days ago because I was tired of the stress and paying $25 for something that should cost $5. (Long ago, the gov’t wanted to make e-filing free and TurtleTax opposed that—hmmm, I wonder why?)
If they do not fix this, can you imagine how angry people are going to be if they wait until Apr 18 and then cannot get this to transmit? Wow! TurtleTax is going to get a lot of irate calls at that point, and on top of that the techs are not going to have a fix, so they’re going to run them through all this mumbo jumbo, not have a solution, and then they might even miss the postmark deadline. At that point, I wonder if TurtleTax will be liable for the late filing penalties?
@InNVHa - Agreed. They really need to get ahead of this right now. I am giving it until Monday, and then will file the old fashioned way. Really irritating as it will now take several weeks to get my refund.
Why does TT make it so **bleep** hard to get a phone number to call for help with this issue? JUST POST THE NUMBER TO CALL! I have wasted 4 hours on this already. Going to try H&R Block next year.
Thank you for providing this helpful information. It's clear only the users have anything helpful to say while the TT "experts" are clearly lost. This might be the last year I use this software. I have had so many issues this year.
@jamiewatson12 - I agree with your comment regarding the customers vs technicians. If I worked in customer support I would be screaming to headquarters about this. It is a common problem and it is quite costly the amount of time spent researching the same thing and getting nowhere. I tried to submit again just now, and it did not work. No update to the software either. I figure we keep posting this and maybe we will get an answer. I am giving it until the weekend.
Got todays update and still no joy transmitting the desktop Indiana return.
Ditto - did the update and still cannot transmit
Same here ! If it doesn’t work by Monday the 11th, I am filing by mail, and will request a refund. This has been such a waste of
time.
I finally found this thread after calling in to support. First of all TurboTax seems to want the community to support their terrible product by making support hard to get, second of all the support person must not have been aware of this problem since they just "escalated it" to get me off the phone and it was by my own wasting of time trying things that I realized I could efile my federal return if I left off state.
So finally I knew what to google to find this thread and to my dismay they have known this is a problem for months and no-one has a fix. This used to be a good product, it is terrible now and clearly it wouldn't be hard to inform their support team to ask if you a filing an Indiana return.
I have complicated taxes but at this point it would have been less time consuming to do them by hand.
I manage a team of software developers and would be horrified to find my team left users with this experience.
Yea, I agree. I’ve used intuit software for close to 30 years. Beyond increased capabilities and ease of use the biggest change has been the declining response to the customer experience when thing go south. I’ve historically been almost anti-social media so community was never real attractive to me. However due to the declining customer service at software companies (unless it cost at least 4 figures) I’ve been more or less force into community. It often works but is pretty time consuming. I hope they do arrive at a “fix” before the due date, however I gave up and made a trip to the usps, well maybe also stopped by the coffee shop so the trip wasn’t a totally miserable experience.
My Indiana returns is not being rejected. It simply will not transmit. I talked to a TT advisor (sales force person) and he stated that Indiana returns are ineligible to e-file this year?!? I paid $25.00 to e-file and now being talk we cannot. This makes no sense.
