Efile process first processes the state efile charge and then to actually efile. However, after 5 times that I kept getting an error that efile failed and I may need to file by mail, I finally mailed my forms instead of efiling. So, how do I get my efile fee returned??

Do you mean in the CD/download? You paid the $20 state e-file fee but had to mail it? Contact customer support.
No one in the user forum can resolve a billing issue. If you have a question about your TurboTax fees or billing, make sure you use the word “billing” in your request for help. Do not use the word “refund.”

I tried to contact support, but could not find an online contact form. Also tried the chat, but after clicking down to the final chat access, clicking on the chat button did nothing. All it showed as a command was javascript(0), at the bottom. Have difficulty understanding talk on phone, so need either email or chat. Spent over an hour and gave up, now trying community, which as it turns out, results in my 1 for 85 successes using communities or forums.
Yep, just another of the 99% of support responses re-directing to a phone, which I am trying to avoid due to a hearing impediment. If companies today, did not have a phone number to re-direct their chats and forums to, they would be worthless. In fact, for those with restrictive phone options, all of these companies are just that....WORTHLESS!!! For this TurboTax user for more than 2 decades, I am no longer a TurboTax user....

Thanks but I cancelled my accounts with these cancel culture, anti-American social media sites.

You will have to contact TurboTax support to have fee removed from your account. Use the key words Billing Issue
