Why do you think your refund is being mailed? If you included your direct deposit information and for whatever reason, the deposit is sent back to the IRS, they will then send a check.
Track my refund is saying a check will be sent. TPG is still saying it will be DD. I'm just really confused as this has never happened before.
This happened to me too. I decided to open a Credit Karma account to receive my deposit, but was notified my refund would be mailed instead of deposited..
Please check your forms to ensure direct deposit to the Credit Karma card was chosen. To print out all the worksheets, including the TurboTax worksheets used to fill in the return, there should be an option to download all forms and worksheets in the Print Center.
The general instructions are: How do I get a copy of a return I filed this year in TurboTax Online?
The same exact thing happened to me. Have used the same bank account t for years to have my refund deposited and this year all of a sudden they decided to mail out a check instead of DD. I have no clue why? I clearly e-filed and asked for DD. I have seen several people post about this issue this year. I don’t know why the IRS is doing this.
Sometimes a tax refund is not able to be deposited into an account for various reasons. If the account is closed or the wrong direct deposit information is on the tax form, or the person's name is different from their account, the financial institution will refused those funds and the IRS has to then mail a check to the recipient. This is common practice if those things happen, but a paper check is always then mailed to the address on the tax return.
I have already verified all of my information and it is correct. I’ve had the same exact bank for years now and have never had this happen before. I double checked routing, account #, names, address etc… and everything is correct. Why the IRS chose to mail my refund instead is beyond me.

Only the IRS can tell you why.
