When you go through the Ohio state return, you will come to a screen titled Take a look at Ohio credits and taxes. Scroll down to Business and Investment Credits. Then select Start next to Nonrefundable business credits and carryovers. Scroll down the page to the Lead Abatement Credit Smart Worksheet and enter the information from your certificate.
This credit is granted by the Ohio Department of Health (ODH). To claim this credit, you must attach a copy of the certificate from ODH that indicates the amount of the credit and the tax year for which the credit is based. To the extent this credit exceeds your tax liability, any remaining balance can be carried forward up to seven years.

Did you pay attorney fees and are wondering if you pay taxes on it? If that's your question, you don't pay taxes on attorney's fee that you pay. You only pay taxes on the money that you make.

I have the same issue with TurboTax 2024 Desktop (Windows). Form 3804-CR Part II line 4 should show the amount of the PTET credit claimed on Form 540NR, but it shows 0 instead. The PTET credit is claimed correctly on Form 540NR, line 59 (I have OSC credit on line 58). The big problem is that Form 3804-CR Part II line 4 cannot be overridden or edited. I cannot file my return without correcting this line!

@abc481 , sorry missing on 3520. Both 3520 and 8938 are really informational. However, 3520 is used only when there is a distribution and of value US$100,000. In any case per instruction of form 8938, there is no need for duplicative reporting.--- that is the holding needs to be reported only once ( but may have to referred in the other ). Since you have had no distribution and/or contribution you do not come under the rules for 3520.
Does that answer your query ? Is there more I can do for you ?

I own 2 rental properties. In last year's return, I noticed nothing showed up in Form E Line 18, which should be the annual depreciation amount for each property. I've tried amending it, but the Rental Property Info section doesn't seem to allow it (or, I can't figure it out). The Expenses / Assets (Depreciation) section asks about Real estate taxes, Repairs, Cleaning/maintenance and Mortgage interest -- but not Depreciation. And there is no option in the Rental property info section to edit this. One other note: The depreciation was showing up correctly in previous years -- so it has Cost Basis and the depreciation schedule info somewhere. I had used a CPA - not using Turbo Tax for two years and now this info seems to be gone. Thanks in advance.

Hello. . . Curious if this is still an issue in 2025 when e-filing for 2024 taxes. It seems to be. Once again, I opted for Direct Debit, and once again, I was told later to print a voucher and send it in with payment. I am not planning on doing that, as last year, it seemed a lot of people ended up paying twice---and I had no issues with the direct debit option last year (and ignored the waiver). Hopefully still true?
