Suggesting we print and mail in our 1041 returns is not a solution to a software problem that Intuit has failed to fix.

An 2025 E-filed tax return does not require a physical signature, the 2024 AGI that was entered is your electronic signature.

I have used TurboTax for years. I have a new computer that does not have my 2024 tax files. I purchased 2025 TurboTax, and it transferred my 2024 tax return information when I started filing my 2025 return. I need to amend the 2024 tax return. Is there a way to retrieve my 2024 tax return files from TurboTax so I can do this?

Is there a way to see how TurboTax derives its numbers? Specifically, on the 1040ES workshheet I do not understand how the computation for 2026 projected final itemized deduction amount is derived. I double clicked on the computed amount but apparenty drilling down to the computation is not possible.

I would recommend that you contact the Marketplace to make sure that you are reporting the correct amounts. As MihnT1, mentioned, entering the wrong amounts on column B will result in the wrong calculation of the premium tax credit.
What is the Premium Tax Credit (PTC) and What is Tax Form 8962?

I'll take a look at it, if you share your diagnostic file. Please tag @MelindaS1 in your response. Instructions: You can provide a diagnostic copy of your tax data file so that someone here can take a closer look. The diagnostic file will not contain personally identifiable information, only numbers related to your tax forms.
If you would like to provide us with the diagnostic file, follow the instructions below and post the token number along with which version of TurboTax you are using and what states you are filing in a follow-up thread. It would be helpful to have a screenshot of the token number to prevent it from being redacted.
Use these steps if you are using TurboTax Online:
Sign in to your account and be sure you are in your tax return.
Select Tax Tools in the menu to the left.
Select Tools.
Select Share my file with agent.
A pop-up message will appear, select OK to send the sanitized diagnostic copy to us.
Post the token number here.
If you are using a CD/downloaded version of TurboTax, use these steps:
Select Online at the top of the screen.
Select Send Tax File to Agent.
Click OK.
Post the token number here.

I'm using Turbo Tax Desktop version. Where can I manually override/enter my 2026 federal estimated tax payment amounts rather than accept the calculated payment totals?

I do not want to mail my California 1041 returns. I paid Intuit so I can e-file these. This is not a solution to a software problem that Intuit has not fixed.

Is this for a Rental Property? Did you check the box to indicate the property or asset was sold this year? If so, you need to return to the property or business info section and remove that checkmark. Same for the asset. Continue through the topic until you return to the Wages & Income Summary screen. Then go back into your business or rental property to enter or edit your asset. This will allow you to complete the depreciation entry. At that point, you can report that the business/property/asset was sold.
