To pay your TurboTax fees, TurboTax accepts credit, debit, and prepaid cards with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover logo.
Like many other U.S. online merchants, TurboTax can only process cards with a U.S. billing address.
Make sure your address on your return matches that on your credit card. Enter your name and address as shown on your credit card statement.

To pay your federal tax due, You can use your debit or credit card or pay your tax bill online or over the phone through the IRS. You can also set up an automatic withdrawal from your bank account in the TurboTax program.
You will pay your federal taxes with your credit/debit card through a third-party payment processor. The processor charges a convenience fee.
If you're e-filing, choose Charge my credit card when we ask how you want to pay your federal taxes.
If you're paper-filing, you won't see a credit/debit option, but you can do this instead:
In TurboTax, select Pay by check when asked how you want to pay your taxes.
Follow the instructions to print a paper copy of your return.
Throw out the 1040-V voucher that prints out. You won't need it.
Go to the IRS Pay Your Taxes by Debit or Credit Card site, choose a payment processor, and pay your tax bill there.

On the page "We see you have Section 199A income," check the box for the choice that fits the income reported on the K-1 (if you have only dividends, check the second box).
On the page "We need some information about your 199A income," check the box for business income and enter an amount in at least one of the boxes that appear (business, rental, royalty, other income).
You can leave the other boxes blank if the additional information with the K-1 doesn't specifically mention these items.
Check "none of these apply" under Uncommon Adjustments.
For the question "Do you want to provide more info..." check the "No" box unless your income is greater than the amount on the "yes" line.
If you have other questions about Statement A, you may need to contact the company that sent you Schedule K-1.

tax128 The state wages (box 16) is often different from box 1 (federal wages) because NJ does not allow some of the exclusions that are allowed on the federal return. For example, NJ does not allow HSA contributions, most retirement plan contributions (except for a 401(k), and most Section 125 cafeteria plan exclusions. Box 18 would have an entry if your employer withheld for a city tax in New Jersey - did that happen? As for how it is possible for you to get different messages for different years, the error checks can be updated from year to year, depending on the need. @tax128

somehow I missed this one. For 2023 "On your 2023 return you will have to edit that you didn't withdraw the excess contribution by the due date and TurboTax will calculate the 6% penalty. You have to pay the 6% penalty on the contribution since you didn't remove the earnings. You can only avoid the 6% penalty if you withdraw the excess contribution plus earnings." are you saying I have to pay 6% on the 7500 and the earnings?! omigod! that wasnt even my mistake. thats a lot of money. The excess contribution was withdrawn right away; it was by the due date. I put it in on February 2024 and withdrawn soon after, before 4-15-2024. The earnings were withdrawn by me before 4-15-25. I did withdraw both, just one was by the due date and the other after. That is terrible. can you explain further? is that state tax 6% or just fed tax? since this was custodian's fault do I have recourse? a way to file a complaint?? also re 2024 return- the excess earnings are taken out. Is it necessary to contribute to 2025 by due date ( today) or can I do it later in 2025 so that it counts as applying the distribution. I did not request an extension ( sadly) - I know I could have done it then. I prefer not to do it at all and do 1 of the other things you suggested, esp since I have to work a few hrs in retirement to be eligible for it. But crucial question - do I have to make the contribution today? thanks so much. I should have extended- I am already amending. I think I was so tired not sleeping that I made that mistake. and with Direct pay it's not even necessary to request the extension for uS.
