Does anyone see an issue where a payment doesn't go through?

To pay your TurboTax fees, TurboTax accepts credit, debit, and prepaid cards with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover logo.

Like many other U.S. online merchants, TurboTax can only process cards with a U.S. billing address.

Make sure your address on your return matches that on your credit card.  Enter your name and address as shown on your credit card statement.

To pay your federal  tax due, You can use your debit or credit card or pay your tax bill online or over the phone through the IRS. You can also set up an automatic withdrawal from your bank account in the TurboTax program.

You will pay ‌your federal taxes with your credit/debit card through a third-party payment processor. The processor charges a convenience fee.

If you're e-filing, choose Charge my credit card when we ask how you want to pay your federal taxes.

If you're paper-filing, you won't see a credit/debit option, but you can do this instead:

  1. In TurboTax, select Pay by check when asked how you want to pay your taxes.
  2. Follow the instructions to print a paper copy of your return.
    • Throw out the 1040-V voucher that prints out. You won't need it.
  3. Go to the IRS Pay Your Taxes by Debit or Credit Card site, choose a payment processor, and pay your tax bill there.
