Yes. If you are an Ohio taxpayer, you are eligible to deduct up to $4,000 of contributions per beneficiary, per year from your State of Ohio taxable income, with unlimited carryforward.

Yes, in your case, great job realizing the conversion to ROTH is the important part here. Side note: Interesting code 7 and not code 4 to indicate the inherited part.
I am very sorry for your loss ...

I have a new computer. All files from old computer were transferred to the computer. Turbo Tax says it cannot find last year's return. How do I help it locate last year's return?

If you are going to file federal later then just don't go though the state return until then. You can't efile state until federal has been filed and accepted anyway. Do you need to pay an extension amount for state now? You can probably go to your state's website and make a payment.

If you have received Schedule K-3, you may wish to enter the information from this form. See How do I enter Schedule K-3 in TurboTax?
In most cases, the foreign income reported on Schedule K-3 is either already reported on Schedule K-1 or only applies to partners with other foreign income and/or assets.
If you chose to omit the K-3 information, uncheck Box 14/16 from Schedule K-1 to clear any federal review issues in TurboTax.

File your 2024 return correctly. Amend the 2023. The IRS takes years to go through and match everything up. Your amended 2023 will have caught up by then.

When you enter the 1099-MISC form in TurboTax, you need to indicate that the money was from an activity that you didn't do in the previous or next year, that it wasn't related to you main job and you didn't have a profit motive to earn the money. Then the income will be treated as "other income" as opposed to self-employment income.
