Has anyone found a fix for this?
I can confirm that the download of the NY state software happened as soon as I started the program.  It appears to be working.  (Feb 06 2026).
Choose your situation below and click on the link:   Where do I enter a 1099-G for a state or local tax refund? How do I report last year's state or local refund without a 1099-G?

The Form 1040-X for amending a 2025 federal tax return is estimated to be available in TurboTax on 02/19/2026   An amended return, Form 1040-X, can only be printed and mailed to the IRS if the original tax return was not e-filed. The IRS will take up to 20 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return. Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS. See this TurboTax support FAQ for amending a current year tax return - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-return/amend-federal-tax-return-current-year/L7eS6o1qh_US_en_US?uid=lfunevhk
You enter that in the Investment Income section.  Right underneath the Stocks and Crypto entry, you should see Capital Loss Carryover.   How do I enter my capital loss carryover?

Follow these steps to fix your issue: Open your return to the 1099-R QCD. Go through the 1099-R entries Look at Box 7 on your form, is there a Y in the box and is it in the program (this is new for TY25 and not mandatory- but a quick way to prove) Either way, we continue on. It's just nice to know if the program already knows with the code Y. Is the IRA/ SEP/ SIMPLE box checked? It should be - both on your form and in the program continue on and look for the qualified charity distribution.  "Do any of these uncommon situations apply?" or "Did you transfer this to charity?"  Select Yes, - since in fact you did.  A box should pop up asking the amount of QCD, enter the amount. If you don't see this, you have to do a little workaround and I think this applies to you. We are going to cheat and then fix it: back up to the 1099-R, box 7 and select I have another box, add the Y. go forward a couple screens and the program asks how much was QCD and gets your return corrected. Go until the end and done with the 1099-R. The program is now aware of and holding the QCD information. Go back and remove the Y.  Continue forward and the QCD question will pop up again with the amount entered. You can look at your 1040. Line 4a is the total and line 4b is the taxable part. @harr2025    There is a Very STRANGE pop-up (maybe two of them)  you have to accept....and you cannot use the BRAVE browser:   From Doug34: "I initially ran into the same problem described by others here. The Intuit website declares success, but TurboTax doesn't get the document. In my case this was caused by the fact that I denied the Intuit site permission to access my local network. Choose Allow, and you should be fine. If you already denied permission, you will be stuck until you reset this permission. In Chrome on Windows, you can do this by clicking on the View Site Information icon just to the left of the address bar. Turn on Local Network Access and try again. This solved the problem for me."
I paid off my mortgage this year, but my 1098 shows a large balance in box 2.  Shouldn't box 2 show 0?
The payment page to purchase a state will not allow me to change month for month/year.  It is hung on  November.  I have tried two different cards
