@ Stephendsmith377 wrote: where can i find supporting documents regarding federal income tax withheld funds? [profanity deleted] I want to talk to a person about my tax return This is the first posting I see for you in this public Internet forum. Here's how to speak to TurboTax customer support: Hours 5AM-5PM Pacific Mon-Fri. FAQ: What is the TurboTax phone number? https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/using-turbotax/help/what-is-the-turbotax-phone-number/00/25632 Otherwise, to get help in this public user forum, you can try to explain your situation, such as what you mean by "supporting documents," and you should also describe "income tax withheld"--withheld from what? Several types of income can potentially have amounts withheld. Did you receive W-2's from an employer or 1099's with amounts withheld? Or is this what you are wanting to do? Have you already filed a 2024 online return, and are asking how to get a copy of your filed 2024 return with all the worksheets? Once it's clear what you are wanting, we can tell you how to open your return back up to get a complete PDF with all the worksheets. NOTE: The full PDF won't have your actual W-2's, 1099's, etc.--only the information you entered (or imported) from your copies of those forms, including summary pages of whatever withholding amounts.

I had passive income of $13000 for rentals, and a loss of -9000 in businessMy MAGI is above the threshold so I have to pay the NIIT. TT fills in Form 8960 automatically with 4a as 13000 4b as 9000 c Combine lines 4a and 4b = 22000 Then I am taxed 3.8% on 22000 BUT 9000 was the loss, not income, why does it not get added as an adjustment as negative, instead gets added as a positive and increases my tax. It is negative in the worksheet. Thanks!

The one before was 2022. Now I need to add 3 w2's to correct. Do I just add those, then mail the 1040x to the IRS?

I figured as such! Yes this is a business Roth 401k and my new CFP is handling this for my company. He will be deducting a percentage every quarter. Where would I document this expense on the 1120S? My guess is 1120S, Line 20 "Other Deductions" and then attached a statement for "Legal Services" or "Professional Services"? "401k Management"?

The fees for a payment plan are lower if you apply for a payment plan directly on the IRS web site instead of through TurboTax. In TurboTax, when you get to the screen that asks "How Do You Want to Pay Your Federal Taxes?" do not select "I want to request an installment payment plan." Select "I will mail a check." File your tax return without making any payment, and do not mail a check. Then go to Apply online for a payment plan on the IRS web site and apply for a payment plan.

Import to where/what? You can only Transfer a 2023 tax data file ending in .tax2023 into 2024. You can transfer a 2023 pdf file but it is limited. A pdf only transfers basic info like your name, address, ssn and AGI. Might as well enter everything for 2024 from scratch manually.

Thank you for your answer. I reviewed my calculation of underpaid tax before April 15, 2024, it's actually $3. when I actually file my return, would I only pay $3 or $3 and interest on it? If I need to pay interest, how do I calculate? Would I pay $3 when filing my state return but pay the interest separately to the State of MI? Thank you,

Just for clarity... for the purposes of INCOME tax: in 2024, a taxpayer filing single is not required to file a tax return if their adjusted gross income is less than $14,600. You may be elgible for tax credits or refund of withholdings, but you need to file to get that money, for the purposes of SELF EMPLOYMENT tax: in 2024, a taxpayer IS REQUIRED to file a tax return is their income exceeds $400. While there may be no INCOME tax, there would be SELF EMPLOYMENT tax. In 2024, separately, you may be able to claim an individual who lives with you all year, who is not a blood relative and whose income is less than $5,050.

are you filing a business return such as a 1065 (partnership), 1120, 1120S - then it's unlikely the fees will be waived. a partnership does not have to file if it had no income, deductions or pass through credits. corporations have to file regardless.
however, for 1120 or 1120s if you have no income or expenses, you can probably prepare a manual return
https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1120.pdf for 1120
https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1120s.pdf for 1120S
if you are filing a schedule C or E or F with your 1040 contact support about the fees.
