Will TPG deposit a rejected refund into a new open account? My credit karma was closed a my refund came yesterday. Hope it doesn’t go back to IRS because they take forever and they don’t answer phone calls

TPG will attempt to deposit the federal tax refund into the account that was designated on the federal tax return that was filed. If the account is incorrect the refund will be sent back to the IRS. The IRS will then mail a refund check to the address on the tax return.
My refund through TPG through the automated system stated that my refund was sent via check through the mail on Nov. 29,2022 and I still haven't received it. Now TPG automated system isn't giving me a update at all. What do I do?

if you go to the tpg website though it will say account not found. THe irs website states refund was sent to my bank but tpg only sent less then 1/3 of it !
Did you try calling and speaking to someone at SBTPG about your refund?

You will need to contact TPG for information regarding your refund. They are one who handles your refund if you elect to pay your fees with your refund. You can also check out this TPG Refund Tracker to check on your refund.
I am having the exact same issue and it's ridiculous. I will not be filing with Turbo Tax again.

Chime Bank claims my name doesn't match but it does.... It was rejected by them and returned to TPG and I can't get an answer as to when I will receive my refund that was release by the IRS on February 23rd.

This seems to STILL BE A PROBLEM! Santa Barbara tax group seems to be holding onto my tax return.
Or, @TurboTax / @intuit has ILLEGALLY CHANGED MY BANK, ROUTING NUMBER, AND ACCOUNT NUMBER!
So, that needs to be investigated too. If need be, I will file a complaint with the IRS and subsequent places.
actually, I will just begin that process right now.
