why would turbotax not get paid for a service they offer?? they allow you to take it out of your refund but if your refund is delayed than you still need to pay. it’s a service!! it’s not anyone else’s problem but yours that your refund is delayed, you still have to pay for the service you used. sounds like a bunch of thieves and scammers on here. it’s mind boggling half the people on here don’t even read and it’s obvious.
I have opened 5 cases with TurboTax. Please look up my email and call me!
On Monday March 14th I was charged $251.92 when I tried to e-file my taxes. I see the charge on my CC statement.
On Wednesday March 16th I was refunded $150.37 after 90 minutes with tech support as my e-file did not go through. I was not refunded the full $251.92 because I told the support agent I would download and mail my taxes.
On Wednesday March 30th, I tried to print my returns to mail. However, your software would not allow me to download the forms. I spent over 2 hours with tech support trying to both e-file and download my tax forms to no avail.
I simply want to be refunded $101.55 which is the difference between what I paid, and what was already refunded. When I call, I get bounced around from queue to queue. When I request a refund online, I get the message below:
We are unable to process the refund for TurboTax Online product Case because our Satisfaction Guaranteed policy only covers TurboTax CD/Download products. TurboTax Online is designed not to charge the customer until after they choose to file, so it is not covered under the Satisfaction Guarantee.
Do the right thing TurboTax! You are stealing from me! I had to re-do all my taxes through TaxAct and deserve a full refund, not a partial refund!
We are unable to process any refunds here in this public forum. You will need to follow the instructions here to contact an agent by phone who can access your account and billing. @medi00511
I've been waiting 6 weeks for my return... It was processed and sent out by the IRS on 2-24-2022. I have all the information from the IRS. Its the company working with TurboTax to withdraw the filing fees and returns.
I have been lied to by TPG about the routing number issues, the deposit coming soon or paper check being mailed out. Everything shows that that the money has been deposited, but my bank has no transactions to verify this lie. And I have not received a reply to any emails or a phone call from this company. What are they hiding and why the lack of customer service ???
So, It has nothing to do with the IRS but the Bank in Santa Barbara withholding the refunds to get the collect the interest rates from the money withheld. A former employee has stepped up and told his customers this when they called into the help line.
this is wrong....
I have done this multiple times! As I mentioned I submitted 5 different cases. I'm shocked nobody can just send me to a manager to fix this......I'm living in the twilight zone!
been a customer for a long time you guys are screwing me I will not be back if I have to wait for my money you should have to wait for yours.
Then they shouldn't be charging the much higher amount that we only agreed to for taking it out of the refund. I'm not a cpa or a tax professional but I followed their directions to the T and all my information was accurate so if anything was somehow missed it's because I was given bad instructions. I filed January 29th and haven't gotten so much as a letter, email, FU, or anything from the IRS about my refund.
To confirm, you have not received your refund at all?
There are a few explanations of why there could be a delay. There could be a refund offset or it could be due to the PATH Act. For more information on this, please see the Help Article here for further assistance. For this, you will need to reach out directly to the IRS.
Same boat as you, filed and accepted 2/3. Zero updates in over 2 months. Have used TT for close to 20 years, this has never happened before, I am sure everyone can figure out why.
So what happens to the money taking out of the refund ? Are they going to refund that back ?
Where was this agreement when filling ?. I don’t recall reading anything, so now it’s almost like you guys are stealing money. Same w2 sense 2016 idk why all of a sudden I need to upgrade to deluxe just to file .
There are MILLIONS of people who used TT and agreed to have the cost for TT deducted out of their refund , unfortunately for both TT and the millions of others who are waiting for their refunds, no one is getting any money. There are millions of people who will not get refunds for months, google it. This is due to you know why. I have used TT for almost 20 years and consider it an excellent product, but due to the state of this country, refunds are delayed for months. First time in my 45 years of filing taxes, interesting.
I’m going threw the same thing and I don’t have the money to give so I don’t think they should charge us until we get out taxes!!!
Did you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund? Is your refund taking an unusually long time to arrive? Or was your refund seized to pay a debt you owed? if so, you signed an agreement that says TT can withdraw its fees from your account. TurboTax would have sent several emails to you before they took the money out of your account.
