Don't feel bad I've been calling and can't get no answers to where my 751.00for 2021 refund is the IRS has tracked it to green dot but to no avail I have yet to receive my refund it might not be a lot to most but it's a lot to me I need my money I worked hard for it just to let someone else to have it I'm very upset with what is happening .mighty strange how I received my refund for 2022but can't get my refund for 2021??? I just read this feed and am curious to know what ur outcome was. I am currently going through the exact same thing with them and I just contacted the IRS and they said that my deposit went into a bank called Sea Vista Bank and gave me a routing in the last four digits of an account number I called that bank they're telling me that the IRS lied to me and it never went there I can no longer even get through to anyone at SBT Bank because they now are saying that there was fraudulent activity and it just hangs up on me and tells me wait 10 to 12 weeks to contact the IRS I cannot get them to well I could not get them to escalate the call to a supervisor I cannot find a corporate number I found the stock holder shareholders in the president of the bank and I'm about to write a very long-winded email and notify them all also the better Business bureau in anyone else that I can think of my name is Jessica and my phone number is 410-87zero-52 8one.

@mmr5759 This thread has had no activity for more than a year. If you are having issues with a refund that was handled by the third party bank:
When you choose "refund processing" TurboTax gets its fees when the IRS releases your refund. Your refund goes to the third party bank. The bank takes out your fees and then that bank sends the rest of the refund to you.

Your tax refund was not sent to TurboTax. TurboTax does not handle your refund at all.

I have tried contacting the Santa Barbara tax group with the number and website many times but their automated calls say my SS is an invalid entry and each time they end the call.
I already paid turbotax the fees needed for for 2023 taxes. Their shouldn’t be any further cuts to the refund. Also, my refund was approved on October 16, 2024, nearly 4 months now and no mail, email or repsonse.
What are the next steps I can take to have my 2023 tax return.

@mmr5759 So, have you contacted the IRS using the procedure shown on the tax refund page? The IRS should be able to tell you the routing number for the bank where the refund was sent.
Have you looked at the 2023 Form 1040 Lines 35b and 35d which shows the routing and account numbers for direct deposit?
Have you verified those numbers with your bank? If those are not the numbers for your bank then we can assume they are for the Santa Barbara Tax Products Group bank.
@mmr5759 Did you import any 1099s from investments? Some brokers change your Direct Deposit info to your brokerage account.

The refund was sent to a bank I didn't recognize because Schwab where I have an account uses an intermediary bank, JP Morgan. So the refund was in my Schwab account which has little activity and I had not checked. I had not had a refund in so long, I did not remember the default account I had set up years ago for refunds.
Yes, I confirmed with my bank and IRS. They mentioned that these account and routing numbers were provided by TurboTax. I contacted TurboTax and they mentioned that the return was suppose to go through Santa Barbara bank.
I have to check this, currently I didn’t see anything but it dosent make sense since shouldn’t it be mine or TurboTax banking information?

Then your only option is to go to SBTPG as they have the refund, or should have the refund. You may also want to use the email address shown for Green Dot Bank, the owner of SPTPG.
