Turbo Tax will not have a status on your refund. If the IRS website says processing, this means they are working on it.

To help everyone check on the status of their payments, the IRS is building a second new tool expected to be available for use by April 17. Get My Payment will provide people with the status of their payment, including the date their payment is scheduled to be deposited into their bank account or mailed to them.

An additional feature on Get My Payment will allow eligible people a chance to provide their bank account information so they can receive their payment more quickly rather than waiting for a paper check. This feature will be unavailable if the Economic Impact Payment has already been scheduled for delivery.

You will have to keep an eye out on the irs where's my refund app to see when the IRS has processed hour refund when it shows you your date, note the date and on that day call your bank with ask to spk to someone in the transfer funds department or ach at this time you should be able to talk to your bank tell them to transfer your funds into your open account. *Note* that you should ensure that you have an open account with the same bank as your closed account. Do this within the same day the irs has issues your refund because the next business day the bank will send it back and you will have to wait 10+weeks. It is a lot to do but it's worth it if you dont want to wait. ****Another side note this is something that was experienced at PNC Bank but it's worth a try with any bank

Apologies I don’t have a solution but this same thing happened to me with Chase bank and I was wondering if your issue had been resolved and how it was handled? Thanks in advance.

My account was closed and the bank rejected my deposit and a few days after it was rejected I had a new DD for my check to be mailed to me

Once the bank rejects the deposit, they will send it back to the IRS. Then it can take a few weeks for the IRS to process and mail a check to the address listed on your tax return. Continue to monitor your refund on the IRS Where’s My Federal Refund? site for updates. Updates are made daily, usually overnight.

auto deposit bank account filed with 2018 Taxes was closed.  I have a different account now. Should I inform IRS? If so, how can I?

The IRS is currently working on a Get My Payment application, due in mid-April, that you can use to let them know your bank account information, if they don't have your current direct deposit information and they haven't sent your payment.  Please see the IRS's Economic Impact Payments page for more information.
