This issue could occur if you have multiple Turbo Tax Accounts; you may check how many you possibly have using this link https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/account-management/help/how-many-turbotax-accounts-do-i-have/00/26...
Additionally, if you used the Turbo Tax Desktop software then the files would be on your computer's hard drive. The FAQ's below provide further detail.

Did not work. Tried to recover all possible accounts of mine but only one account appeared. It did not contain my completed work (1040). I'm still stuck. What I'm doing now is starting over with a new effort. I will attempt to get a charge card refund after I complete and file my taxes. I don't want to pay twice for one filing. I'm a little upset at this time and will likely not use Turbo Tax going forward. Too bad since I've used it for at least ten years now.

Very disappointed this year. Have used Turbo Tax for some ten years without a hitch. This year most everything went wrong with my entries and ended with my having to file a second attempt but was charged for both attempts to file on my credit card. The first try ended up completely disappearing from my computer and I could not retrieve it although I spend a full day trying to recover it even using your help desk. I plan to argue the second charge to my credit card account when I get the bill. In the meantime, I am withholding any sort of endorsement for folks who ask me if I liked Turbo Tax. Sorry, but that's the way it is. Too bad. I will look for an alternative tax software vendor for my 2020 taxes.
Sincerely, James [last name removed], Michigan (04-14-2020)
