HI MY NAME IS ANGELA PHILLIPS AND MY QUESTION IS I DON'T HAVE THE CREDIT CARD/BANK ACCOUNT ANYMORE AND I WAS WONDERING IF I CAN GET MY REFUND AND STIMULES CHECK ON A CHECK? I TRIED TO LOOK UP THE ACCOUNT NUMBER THAT ENDED 9285. PLEASE CAN YOU HELP ME OUT WITH THAT?
OK SO I SHOULD BE GETTING ON A CHECK. I BELIEVE THAT THE CARD WAS STOLEN, SO WHAT NOW WHAT I CAN DO PLEASE AND THANK YOU
I LOOK UP WHAT I HAVE FOR THE ACCOUNT INFO AND ALL I GOT WAS THE LAST FOUR NUMBERS OF THE ACCOUNT. THEY ARE 9285. PLEASE CAN YOU HELP ME ON THIS. THANK YOU
A22. If the account is closed or no longer active, the bank will reject the deposit and you will be issued a check that will be mailed to the address we have on file for you. This is generally the address on your most recent tax return or as updated through the United States Postal Service (USPS). You do not need to call the IRS to change your Payment method or update your address at this time.
As required by law and for security reasons, a letter about the Payment will be mailed to each recipient’s last known address within 15 days after the Payment is made. The letter will provide information on how the Payment was made and how to report any failure to receive the Payment.

i want to no why turbo tax did not change my bank account when i did my new taxes
@diana pence When you sign in with the same user ID you used last year and we'll transfer your information over. If you needed to update your bank information, you would have needed to edit that information when asked how you would like to receive your refund. Before filing, it would have needed changed according to the instructions in the following link: How do I change my transferred direct deposit information?
Has your return already been accepted by the IRS? If not, if for some reason it is rejected, you can then go in and make that change. If not, you can try calling the IRS to stop the direct deposit, if your return hasn't posted to their system yet (and you're willing to get your refund via paper check). For security reasons, the IRS cannot re-route your refund to a different account. Please see the TurboTax Article for more information:
What if I entered the wrong bank account for direct deposit?
You should be aware that someone put their own banking info on My tax return that I did online thru Turbo Tax..I will never use an online service again!!!!
When you choose to pay TurboTax through your refund, your refund goes to Santa Barbara Bank where they send TurboTax their payment then you your refund. The bank account is most likely that bank account.

If you have already filed, you will not be able to change your bank account. The funds will be reversed back to the IRS and you will be sent a paper check to the address on file. For more information on this, please see the Help Article here.
