Yes I initially filed Feb. 28,2022 and had all info for Direct Deposit correct. For 2021 tax year. Thank you for the info
I apologize but I cannot help you because I still have not received my 2020 refund, nor have I received any further correspondence from the IRS concerning it. I did file this year and already received my 2021 refund. However, the rest is still a mystery.
You can track your refund and stay up to date by clicking here. It will guide you step-by-step.
Have your transcripts updated? Okay received a CP12 dated 3.14
Thanks! I have definitely attempted to track it via “Where’s my refund” and “IRS to go” app. There is no available info. Furthermore, my tax transcripts have no updates for me. I suppose someday they’ll remember me and revisit my return lol. I apologize that I can not be of more help, but I appreciate your help 😃
If I got a CP12 will my refund still go direct deposit. As I had on my tax to do so.
I’m wondering the same thing. Ive be calling the IRS for the past 3 weeks and I get the same thing. “We can not except your call due to high volume calls try Again later on on the next business day.” So I called bk today I press the # for trying to make a payment and guess what I got a live person. A WHOLE LIVE PERSON. Who was working from HOME. (The baby was in back ground crying) Just so they could put me on hold and send me to the Im sorry we can not get ur call message. It’s a load a crap if u ask me. When they owe u $ you can’t get in touch with the. But IF U OWE THEM SOMETHING IM SURE THERE CALLING EVERYDAY.
It should be handled the way it was set originally. @Tak3nby03
You should get a refund check in 4–6 weeks, as long as you don't owe other tax or debts.

I got a CP12 notice from the IRS
@Tak3nby03
Why did it go from 13,364 to $7,764
Why did my refund go from $13,364 to $7,764

Does the IRS website indicate that you were sent less than what was reported on your federal tax return Form 1040 Line 34? - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
If your refund is short $5,600 then that is because you said you did not receive the 3rd stimulus payment and the IRS has records that show you were sent the 3rd stimulus payment so they removed the $5,600 Recovery Rebate Credit that was entered on Form 1040 Line 30.
Go to this IRS website for your tax account to see if the 3rd stimulus payment is entered - https://www.irs.gov/payments/your-online-account
If you are Married Filing Jointly also check your spouse's tax account.
If you checked your bank account in the March - May 2021 timeframe and there is not a $5,600 EIP3 payment from the IRS then go to this IRS website for how to start a trace on the payment - https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/questions-and-answers-about-the-third-economic-impact-payment-topic-j-p...
$5600 different? Did you already get the 3rd Stimulus payment? You get 1400 for each person. Are you married and 2 dependents?
Check if there is 5600 on 1040 line 30. The IRS shows they already sent it to you. But you tried to claim it again.
Double check your bank statements and Check your IRS account (both accounts if married)
Your Online Account | Internal Revenue Service
If the IRS thinks they sent it to you but you didn't get it request a trace for a missing third Stimulus payment
my refund was adjusted to 171.00 no information why please explained or send me more money please
@Phorne48 The IRS does not notify TT when it adjusts a refund. You will get a letter in the mail from the IRS in 2-4 weeks.
