See my earlier answer in this thread about how to phone the IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service in your state to see if they can assist you or at least give you some information. They are especially prone to help if you have a hardship. The regular IRS live phone assistance centers are closed due to Coronavirus, but many of the IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service offices are still taking phone calls in various states.
I contacted the tax advocate as I’ve read. They reached out to me quickly, found out what the hold up was. (I claimed I paid more taxes than my employer said) Basically she gave me a fax number to submit my proof to and then I waited maybe 48 hours and my refund was released. (I had a shady old employer lol). Took until October for me to finally reach out to one, don’t be dumb like me and wait.
My problem exactly. my return says "still processing"
Well appreciate you. i have the exact same problem filed in January verbatim, i too am still waiting!
Same!! They took my payment of 80 bucks right away though!!
Do i owe something?
@Arzate013 No one else can see your tax return. Did you not look at it to see if you owe or if you are getting a refund? Did you e-file without knowing that? Only you can access your account and look to see whether you owe or if your tax forms show that you are getting a refund. Print them out and look at them.
Why have I not receive my refund
Waiting is frustrating—refunds are taking longer in many cases. These are not normal times. It is not possible for TurboTax to speed up the IRS for you. They are short staffed; and they are processing millions of tax returns at the same time that they have been burdened with the task of processing millions of stimulus checks.
IRS phone lines supported by customer service representatives for both taxpayers and tax professionals are not staffed at this time. To check on regular tax refund status via automated phone, call 800-829-1954. (This line has no information on Economic Impact Payments.)

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. Many refunds are taking longer during the pandemic.
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 20 of your Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

If you cannot reach the regular IRS call centers due to the Coronavirus shutdown, you may be able to still phone the IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service, which is still taking phone calls in many states. Perhaps they can look you up on their system to see what the IRS is doing. They are especially prone to assist if you are having a hardship.
At the following IRS website, find the USA map and click on your state, and it will give you the number of your IRS Taxpayer Advocate.
