It's been 21 days and it's still saying my taxes are being processed. My amount I'm getting back in federal is in green number but I still do not have a date set to get them back. What could be the hold up
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
If you had EIC in your return this did delay returns this year due to the Path Act.
If the Where's My Refund website is still showing pending, the only thing you can do is wait.
Only the IRS will know when your refund will be issued.
I have the same problem going on and it's making me mad I have Bill's I need to pay.. i dont get to blow my money like alot of people do.. i pay Bill's with my return and i am in shut off and need my money now... i have waited and waited i was excepted jan 28th yes i have the credit but still its past 21 days from either date
If you are concerned about the status of your taxes and you are past the 21 day mark you should call the IRS to see if they can provide you with any additional information.

This is happening to me too. I got my state 2 weeks a go no problem but I'm still waiting for my federal. Its been over 21 days. I've called the irs no help. They just keeps saying it's still being processe. This is what I dont get this has never happen when I use the free turbotax I always got both returns quick but once I use turbotax deluxe I'm waiting longer.
You are always going to find someone else whose refund arrived faster, and someone who waited even longer than you. That is the way it goes. Returns are not processed “first in — first out.”

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 20 of your Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
To track your state refund:

On the IRS site you are also offered the use of an app called IRS2Go

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

I too have not recieved my refund and it has been over 21 days it is making me frustrated and the only number I have is just a recording I can not actually talk to someonw!
I have tried calling and all you get is the automated system. Can’t press “0” for an associate. This is really irrating. My taxes were accepted on Feb 5, 2020 and there is no updated or information out there. What number can I call to actually talk to a human!!

Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund. Only the taxpayer listed on the tax return can obtain the status of a tax refund or a tax return.
To check the status of an e-filed return, open up your desktop product or log into your TurboTax Online Account. You can find your status within the TurboTax product.
If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
If accepted by the state use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899433-how-do-i-track-my-state-refund
After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.
See this IRS website for federal tax refund FAQ's - https://www.irs.gov/refunds/tax-season-refund-frequently-asked-questions
If over 21 days since being Accepted by the IRS and the tax refund is still Processing you can call the IRS and speak with an IRS agent concerning your tax refund.
Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday
When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions."
- When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don't enter anything.
- After it asks twice, you will get another menu.
Then press 4 for personal or individual tax questions.
It should then transfer you to an agent.
I called IRS and they say its income verification when I submitted everything.. now last year I had to do the identification verification and now this year it's the income.. I had a friend that when through the same thing two years ago they had to do the identity and then income and this year had no problems.. I cant stand this.. it is playing with people lives.. some people depend on that return to pay bills and I am on of them.... they told me they had 60 days to review but I didn't ask if that was 6p days from the day they started processing the earned income and child credits.. so I wont see my money probably til april some time..
