Unfortunately no!! I don’t really know why turbo tax puts pending and the completed but it has nothing to do with your refund the only way to really know is checking your tax transcripts or Santa Barbara bank I assure you what I’m saying
Thanks for your response! I’m hoping we receive good news sooner than later! You’d think if TT received their payment we’d have ours, ya know?? Lol. Smh. SBB has yet to receive mine but I guess seeing that my info is correct in their system brings me comfort lol Fingers crossed🤞🏾
Yes I understand your frustration and idk why TT has that stupid payment and completed thing and no that doesn’t mean they got pay you’ll notice when SBB updates how that really works I know is really stupi for TT to have something like that but not even the so called experts know what the hell is that
@BillionaireB wrote:Hey my situation is similar. Have you received your refund yet? My status changed to payment complete yesterday on TT.. I’d really appreciate your reply💕
Has the IRS released your refund?
If you chose to pay your TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund, you can also use the refund lookup tool at SBTPG's website to see if there's any word on your refund there.
At the page below, choose the "For Taxpayers" portal. Then on the next page choose "Check with TPG."
Upon TurboTax order recipient the status is pending. I am paying out of my tax return return. What does the pending status mean in reference to my refund? Approved? Or what?
Please know that is the IRS that must approve your return, not TurboTax. It varies, but normally it takes 24-48 hours. Also, the identity-protection safeguards implemented by the IRS in recent years may account for longer wait times. Eventually, you will receive an email letting you know whether your return has been accepted or rejected.
Pending simply means that your e-filed return is on its way and that the government hasn’t accepted or rejected it yet. For further assistance, please reference the FAQ link provided below:
Why is my return still pending?
Apologies for the misunderstanding. IRS has accepted my taxes I’m speaking on the receipt for TurboTax services. The payment status on the receipt says pending. Will that be the status until my refund is approved?
You wouldn't use the TurboTax receipt to track your refund. To do this, you would use the Where's My Refund link.
What it mean payment pending
Please know that is the IRS that has to approve your return, not Turbo Tax. It varies, but normally it takes 24-48 hours. Also, the identity-protection safeguards implemented by the IRS in recent years may account for longer wait times. Eventually, you will receive an email letting you know whether or not your return has been accepted or rejected. TurboTax FAQ "What does Pending mean? "states, "Pending simply means that your e-filed return is on its way and that the government hasn't accepted or rejected it yet.
E-filed returns generally sit in Pending status for 24-48 hours before coming back as either Accepted or Rejected. Sometimes state returns stay in Pending for several days or even longer. If you contact the government or try to look up your refund status while your return is still pending, don't be surprised if they tell you "no record found." This is normal; until the government starts reviewing and processing your return, they won't have any record of it."
