My refund says it was accepted but irs.gov isn't showing any record of it. Can someone help? It says my estimated date to have my refund was 2/12/18

Please use this link for more information as to why the IRS may not show as having a record of your return: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/refund-status/help/why-is-there-no-record-of-my-return-at-where-s-...

It was a check. I had entered the apartment number 233 instead of 223. But apartment 223 did not receive my check either because I asked them to let me know if they did. I received my federal Check but not the one from the state

This is normal. It can take anywhere from a few days to 3 weeks to update. Until the IRS starts processing it on their own, you may not find record of it or the website may say that you have put in incorrect information when tracking your federal refund. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated. Continue checking the Where’s My Federal Refund tool for updates. Updates are made daily, usually overnight.

My refund says it was accepted but irs.gov isn't showing any record of it. Can someone help? It says my estimated date to have my refund was 2/12/18

I feel like no one read my question.

1. I have already checked “where is my refund”

2. It’s been longer than 3 weeks

3. when I check where is my refund, it says issued

4. this is about state and not federal

if anyone has an answer for me based on the 4 points. Please let me know.

@shamoonlina We are unable to look up your state refund information. The best thing to do is to contact your financial institution. You can also contact your state Department of Revenue of you think there was an error somewhere. Please verify your account and routing number to be sure it was sent to the right account.

I am curious, how did this resolve?  I am currently going thru it now, turbo tax says my taxes were accepted on 3/25 but irs website shows NO record. I'm starting to get stressed out!

Please review this link, it may provide some additional information as to why the IRS is currently reflecting "no record" of your return: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/refund-status/help/why-is-there-no-record-of-my-return-at-where-s-...

@Jrodri2006

By "online" do you mean on the IRS refund site?

Waiting is frustrating—refunds are taking longer in many cases.  These are not normal times.  It is not possible for TurboTax to speed up the IRS for you.   The IRS is short staffed; and they are processing millions of tax returns at the same time that they have been burdened with the task of processing millions of stimulus checks.

To check on regular tax refund status via automated phone, call 800-829-1954. (This line has no information on Economic Impact Payments.)

https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  Many refunds are taking longer during the pandemic.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 20 of your Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

https://www.irs.gov/refunds

To track your state refund:

https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1901548-why-do-some-refunds-take-longer-than-others

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

To call the IRS:IRS:  800-829-1040  hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Mon-Fri

Listen to each menu before making the selection.

First choose your language. Press 1 for English.

Then do NOT choose the first choice re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.

Instead, press 2 for "personal income tax".

Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".

Then press 3 "for all other questions."

Then press 2 "for all other questions."  It should then transfer you to an agent.

My refund says it was accepted but irs.gov isn't showing any record of it. Can someone help? It says my estimated date to have my refund was 2/12/18

I did my taxes on the 18th of February and I got the message from Turbotax that both returns were accepted but the IRS website has no information on my returns and I checked my email for the confirmation from the IRS or whatever nothing came in I'm confused and kinda upset about all of this.

My refund says it was accepted but irs.gov isn't showing any record of it. Can someone help? It says my estimated date to have my refund was 2/12/18

So you're saying once I got the email from turbotax that my returns are accepted they are being processed even though the irs site has no information on it?

My refund says it was accepted but irs.gov isn't showing any record of it. Can someone help? It says my estimated date to have my refund was 2/12/18

Right.  It may take awhile to show up on the IRS IRS Where's my refund.  After it is Accepted it is in the IRS and Turbo Tax doesn't get any more updates on it.

You can double check your efile status here

https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

When you efile you get back 2 emails.  The first email only confirms the transmission.  The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.  Accepted only means they accepted your return FOR Processing.  Not that your return is right.

My refund says it was accepted but I haven't received anything on my direct deposit. It's been several weeks now.
