This is on my city forms not my state or federal All the answers are referring to state and federal which I have already filed and are done. This is for my Muskegon, MI city tax form!
Despite it being for your city return, the same principle applies; you will not be able to file a return that includes forms that are not yet finalized.
What if it still says that on the 11th with taxes due by the 15th? Should I just fill out a new form by hand and mail it in?
Which form is it saying is not currently finalized? In the interim you may review the forms availability list for up to date timeline estimates. Additionally, here you will find filing details for the city of Muskegon including deadlines, contact details etc.
@Ebony A - So the OP was talking about the Muskegon MI city tax form not being available... IE: DO NOT PRINT FORM NOT FINAL. I have to say, it seems that every year, this year included I get this same message on all my city tax forms and it is never resolved! I have to hand write my city tax forms each and every year. What is the problem with this product? We all pay for a service and it is only partially available...
The cities I am trying to file are Grand Rapids MI and Walker MI. I have also received an email weeks ago that these forms were ready and I could access and print... Sure I can access and print, BUT I cannot file them.
Can you verify that these forms WILL actually be ready by the filing date and give us enough time to actually get to the post office to mail them by May 2nd? Seems like TurboTAX has a broken software problem.
Please advise.
