I've used Turbo Tax for years and never had a problem with the W2 import feature.
For the 2023 tax year, I imported a W2 from an employer. The numbers seemed correct. I submitted and filed and paid taxes.
Yesterday I got a CP2000 from the IRS stating I did not report income from that employer. I dug up the suspect W2. The one imported from Turbotax has a close amount, but not the correct one. The IRS says I owe them 5k for not reporting this W2 correctly.
Where did turbotax import this w2 from? Why isn't it correct? I can't afford a massive tax bill because turbotax hallucinated a w2. I feel so stupid for not double checking. This is awful and I just want to talk to a real person and the phone tree is a nightmare.

The phone number for TurboTax Customer Support is 800-446-8848. That is probably your best bet to sort this out.
When you file your taxes with TurboTax, you automatically receive access to the Audit Support Center for help understanding your IRS notice. Their number is 800-624-9066.

That CP2000 support was probably the most useless support article I’ve ever read. I don’t need support to tell me that if I get a letter I should read the letter.
@jewellcrye I had this same issue. I received the CP2000 notice in Feb 2025 for 2023 filed taxes. I looked up my TurboTax account to see everything I uploaded and was getting errors from TurboTax claiming it couldn't be downloaded. I worked with Tax Audit via Turbo Tax from the deluxe membership and they said I most likely would have to pay the penalty plus owe taxes from that missing W2 (over $2K). Today I could see my documents on TurboTax from last year and every W2 was filed there correctly. It is frustrating that I uploaded each document correctly, double checked my numbers and now dealing with the consequences of what I assumed paying for deluxe would catch. There must be some glitch that occurred and I feel that TurboTax is aware but not taking accountability.
TurboTax calculations are guaranteed.
If your situation meets the terms of the 100% Accurate Calculation Guarantee, Intuit will reimburse the amount actually paid by you to the IRS or state in penalties and/or interest as levied against you in their first notice (i.e., if the notice is not paid, Intuit will not reimburse additional interest and penalties for not paying the first bill timely).
Claims can be filed online here. If you file a 2024 claim and the drop-down menu of years doesn't show 2024 yet, you can choose "2023" and the Accurate Guarantee team will ask for any additional information needed to consider your claim.
