If the CC was out of date and could not be charged the first week of November then updating the CC info will be applied to the 2023 program that comes out next November. Since you missed the 2022 issuance time frame you will need to purchase it in some other way.
Turbotax site obviously isn't working. Took 10 tries just to bring up the screen to enter information for e-file. After I got past that, I entered my credit card info. Error says "we hit a snag" and it will not accept credit card information. I tried multiple times, deleted cookies, temporty files and did a hard reboot. Nothing works and no credit card works. You guys need to fix this issue!!!!

Same problem here. It's maddening. To buy the state return they wouldn't take the credit card no matter how many different ones I tried. I tried someone's advice of using 123 main street for the billing address and it worked! However when I wanted to e-file because I didn't save the credit card info I tried the same thing again and it won't take it no matter what. Guess I have to paper file this year haven't done that in many years. Such a crazy bug in this system. Hope they fix it

Try using a different card with a different mailing address (preference a different name too)
Tried paying via one CC and TT Intuit would not recognize and accept. Verified via CC Co card is valid and active and used. I tried another CC and TT took it. A real time consuming hassle.
I tried many variations-- my credit card company confirms that Intuit is billing the fee and putting it right back into the account and then claiming, "We are sorry, we are having trouble authorizing your credit card. Please verify your billing address, card number, and CVV and try again." It's absurd that this issue has been going on for years and has not been addressed in any meaningful way that I can discern. Had I known about this issue, I would never have gone with Turbo Tax.
Dude this is crazy..... I had the same exact problem like you did with state purchase @Jorobro and I was hopeless and suspicious when I saw your comment but I had no other better idea except trying put in 123 main street as my billing address. who the heck could explain why this would work but it surely did. 123 main street is no where freaking near my actual billing address!
I havent tried do the same for efile yet. Im just happy at this point that I could purchase another state so i dont have to start all over again either buying another effing turbotax or use a different platform like hrblock. the CC thing is driving me nuts. I had the same issue last year with efile where it wouldnt take my CC but luckily customer service solved my problem. This year, this 123 main street solution just blows my mind. I think its time for me to quit TurboTax after all. Im so tired of this and idk why they cant get it fixed after so many years of ppl reporting the same issue.
