I am unable to import a TXF file into my return. I am using the 2025 desktop version of Mac Business and Home. I'm following the instructions by selecting File> Import and selecting the correct txf file. But when I click Continue, a pop-up message appears indicating that the import was unsuccessful and asking me to enter the information manually. I have tried renaming the file and moving the file to the desktop. Is there any way to work around this and import the file?

Where did you get the txf file? My old notes say you can only import a txf to the Windows Desktop program, not to Online or Mac. I’ll look for a current FAQ.
Here’s some new links I found. They say how to import to both Windows and Mac.
12/18/25 Import TXF file
How do I import from the .txf file?
12/19/25 Import Quicken into the Desktop program
How do I import my Quicken info into TurboTax Desktop?
12/19/25 Import QuickBooks into Turbo Tax
Yes, I was following those instructions, but they are not working for me.
I can select the TXF file within TurboTax, and TurboTax recognizes the file. However, when I click the "continue" button, I receive an error message indicating the import was unsuccessful. I haven't been able to find another FAQ that offers an alternative approach
What income are you trying to import from a txf file? Maybe a form you need isn’t ready yet. Like the retirement section 1099R won’t be ready until Jan 21.
Oh just thought of something. I don’t think Schedule C is ready yet. Since you have Home & Business you might need Schedule C.
