You can direct-import Quicken 2021, 2022, and 2023 into 2022 TurboTax for Windows Basic, Deluxe, Premier, or Home Business, but you'll need to import from the Quicken .txf file if:
- You're using Quicken 2020 or earlier
- You're using TurboTax for Mac (which doesn't support direct import)
- You're experiencing problems with the direct import
- The .txf file was created in other financial software (containing stock trades, for example)
To import your .txf file into your TurboTax software:
- Open (continue) your return in TurboTax
- From the TurboTax File menu in the upper-left corner, select Import followed by From Accounting Software (Windows) or From TXF Files (Mac)
- Follow the instructions
Note: Neither TurboTax Online nor TurboTax Business supports imports from the .txf file.
