TPG and CIVISTA are still holding my 2021 refund no one is responding to me. I followed all of the necessary steps through the tpg website to try to get my money back. I got ine repky on nov 20, 2023 that the issue is escalated to civista and i followed up again, requesting the correspondence between the two. There was no response. My bank suntrust merged with bb&t in march of 2021 and became Truist. The routing number changed and my money got held by civista per the irs. I called civista they said to call fill out a form on tpg website. I did that and still NO MONEY. I dint care if my refund is $5. Its MY MONEY, and I want it BACK! I Need it! Times are very hard right now everything is up 20-30% thanks to our government and I need this money to survive.
Federal Refund amount= $1907.00
North Carolina State Tax Refund : $906.00
I really need this money, and this put a really bad taste in my mouth about turbo tax. Someone needs to help me because I am not getting any responses from either company. And I filed my taxes with turbotax therefore I am holding you responsible for this.

No one at TT or the parent company of Intuit or anyone on this public forum can help you with this issue. It is between you and the processing bank you used to process the refund. Usually if they cannot make the direct deposit to your bank account they would send out a paper check to the address on the return OR they send it back to the IRS if the check is returned. The processing bank does not handle state refunds at all ... that refund should have been sent to you directly. If the state could not make the direct deposit then they would also try to mail the check to the address on the return.
So ... did you check with both the IRS and the state ?
Use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
Use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status- https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899433-how-do-i-track-my-state-refund
And.....even if your federal refund has ended up in some sort of confusion with the third party bank, the third party bank has nothing whatsoever to do with your state refund. Your state refund does not go through that bank. If the state paid your refund, the state would send it directly to you, either by making a direct deposit to the bank account you entered or by mailing you a check.
If you did not receive your state refund, something else is going on with it.
