turbotax failed to load the first time
I have a similar issue. I used my Premier Turbo Tax CD that I purchased to install the software and it worked fine. I gave the CD to a friend to download, as my CD is good for 5 separate federal returns, but he doesn't have a CD reader so he wanted to use the download feature but it would not accept my license code saying that the code has already been used. Can the software be downloaded or does it have to be installed by a CD reader?
The problem is NOT that you have a CD and tried also to download it. The Customer Service agent herself tried to download it to our second computer, and spoke to someone else, and then told me to return the copy I bought and buy another one! Afterwards, I saw that omeone in this conversation called Customer Service and asked to speak with a manager. It took a few tries but that user didn't take NO for an answer. Customer Service finally gave them a new license code. It's worth a try., but you'll need to be persistent.

@wcanavan1 The License is you can install it on 5 computers YOU OWN.
But if you installed from the CD you can not download it from online now. You can't do both CD and download. See the new info on this FAQ

@samkni1961 What are you trying to download? The whole Turbo Tax program or a state program download? Will this help?

I'm using Premier and now it works ok as I had a faulty CD reader. When I replaced it, the info transferred fine. Thanks.

I just opened up my cd with license code and are getting the same message.

I have tried to enter this license code that has only been used one time and it keeps telling me that it is already associated with another account. How can I enter it and get my taxes done and download information from 2021 taxes? I know for sure it has only been used one time and it should be able to use 5 times.
