I filed my taxes with a family member who is a book keeper. I didn't file my 1095A form with it. And the family member who filed them doesn't have the time of day to file it. Is there any way to get it to the irs without mailing it?
Did the IRS send you a notice requesting the Form 1095-A and Form 8962? If so, see this TurboTax support FAQ - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/health-care/help/the-irs-is-requesting-form-8962/01/27409
If you did Not receive a notice from the IRS then you will have to amend your tax return to include the Form 1095-A.
An amended return, Form 1040-X, can only be printed and mailed to the IRS if the original tax return was not e-filed. The IRS will take up to 16 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return.
Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS.
See this TurboTax support FAQ on amending a tax return originally completed and filed using the 2020 TurboTax editions - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/amending/help/how-do-i-amend-my-return/01/27439
To enter your Form 1095-A -
Or enter 1095-a in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to 1095-a
I edited my amended form so i can get the 8962 and it is not producing that form when i add the 1095 A info... i need to send the 8962 and the 1095A via fax to irs and turbo tax isn't producing that 8962 form please help.
If you are using the downloaded program then switch to the forms mode and ask for the form in the list which you can print from the view window on the right.
I forgot to file 1095 form on my return
If you actually filed the return and it is in PENDING status simply WAIT for the IRS to reject the return for the missing form 8962 (populated by the 1095-A entry). Then you can add the missing form and resubmit the form.
