I did send an amended return & it's been accepted. Now being reviewed by IRS. This is a good step in the right direction correct?

NO!!! DO NOT REFILE. Mine said the same thing. After about 2 weeks it went away. Went back to your refund is still being processed and a refund date will be given when available. How long ago did you file?

Double check your information on whatever tax site you used. But mine said the same and taxes were adjusted and finally did get. Only took 11 weeks. Speak with a tax expert where you filed .

Many people are experiencing refund delays. But, you can login to your account at the IRS to look for an explanation. The reason for the delay will depend on your circumstances. For more information, see: When will I get my IRS tax refund?

Why do some refunds take longer than others?

M status changed from still being processed on one day to the same message: You may not have entered your information correctly. Please verify your personal tax data and try again the next day.

TurboTax Desktop says my IRS return was accepted on April 8. Today is May 16.

Actually, my IRS account gave me the same information that the "Where's my refund" did --- pretty much nothing.  When I called TurboTax,  to whom I paid an extra chunk for on-going help, they were really rude.  One woman kind of eased up and said it's been taking about 10 weeks.  On nearly every turn the IRS makes a statement that if you efile, and expect direct deposit, you should have it in 21 days.  They should change or delete that since they know it's bs.   I e-filed and it was supposedly accepted (according to TT) on March 12, and still nothing.  The IRS "tool" (appropriately named) did have a couple of days where it said my information was wrong,  but then went back to "still being processed".   Reading through this thread does give me hope, as it's obvious that the delay is a common issue.                                                                                                                             Turbo Tax, in their email info about billing for services when it's supposed to be taken from refund, said there would be an email that explains your opportunity to defer that payment and keep it from being automatically withdrawn from your bank account when you have no received your refund.   I have received NO SUCH TURBO TAX EMAIL with that information, so I guess I'll be calling them again for that info.

If you chose to pay your TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund, and if your Federal refund has been delayed unusually long at the IRS (or if it's been reduced), after a certain number of days TurboTax will want to be paid.  They likely started sending you emailed bills to pay.  If you don't respond by either paying or asking for a deferment, they will ultimately debit your bank account.  If you wish to ask for a deferment, you need to do so quickly.

See the FAQ below that explains the process.  The first paragraph of the FAQ has a special phone number if you have a question or have a hardship and need to ask for a deferment.

Hours are currently 5AM-5 PM Pacific (8AM-8PM Eastern),  Monday-Saturday.

If you need to ask for a deferment, you should call them as soon as possible.  Once they actually start the debit process, they say they can't stop it.

The first paragraph in the FAQ below says:

"If you’re in need of assistance, call us by the Tuesday prior to your debit date at 1-888-808-1723 to speak with a trained specialist and mention “auto-debit”, or visit TurboTax Support."

Same here  got this message my Fed refund came 2 weeks after  filing  and when I check on State I get this info " Please verify the social security number, refund amount and tax year entered and retry."   really whats going on??

@GrannyBerg  Are you sure what you got was for federal?  Most people are getting state refunds first this year.  Federal refunds are taking months to get.

Did you efile the state?  Maybe you didn't finish filing it.  Was your state return Accepted?  Double check your efile status here

https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup

When you efile you get back 2 emails.  The first email only confirms the transmission.  The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.

When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc.  What does it say for state?
