The 2024 desktop editions are available for purchase and download on this website - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/cd-download/
TurboTax does not have Black Friday sales.
Watch for sales from other retailers.
You can also purchase the desktop download from various retailers such as Costco, Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Staples, Sam’s Club, etc. etc. etc.
This link Where can I obtain authentic TurboTax software? has a list of authorized TurboTax resellers.
Not Yet ?!!
@Clarence Owens The desktop software for 2024 is available from Inuit. You will have to do your own checking on other retailer sites for availability.

It is very disappointing that you have discontinued providing the CD for2024. As a long time user and customer, I have counted on Turbo Tax for helping me submit my annual taxes. Having a hard copy for my permanent records is important.
@brill33 The only real difference is that in order to install the desktop software, you will download it to your hard drive instead of inserting a piece of plastic into a disc drive. The software is the same.
"Having a hard copy for my permanent records is important. "
There is no reason whatsoever that you cannot print a hard copy of your tax return using the download software. Whether you used the CD or the download, if you used desktop software, all of the updates and state software were downloaded, and the tax returns were stored on your own hard drive.
@brill33 People are getting confused with the Online browser version and the Desktop installed program. The Download program is not the Online version. The Download program is EXACTLY the same Desktop program as the CD. You buy it the same way directly from Turbo Tax or in stores like Costco. When you installed the CD you still had to go online to update it. It's only the method you use to install it. Even when I bought the CD I used the download method to install it.
