Turbotax applications disappeared from computer

When I do that all that happens is I'm directed to the turbotax buy page

I am having the same problem.  My 2018 taxes are now nowhere to be found on my computer. I have searched and searched.  When I open the 2018 TurboTax program, it has no data and behaves as if I need to still file my 2018 taxes by transferring 2017 tax info.  Help!

No  you missed the point.

I checked the system registration files under Intuit and there was no registration. TT is gone. 

I did not remove it.

So back to the original question

Did it go through the full install process correctly or did you get some type of error message? If the install never happened properly, you should contact support. usually will show a shortcut on desktop and can easily search for the app (as someone else suggested) .
