I'm receiving this error when checking my return.

Check This Entry

Form 2210: IRS to figure Penalty Box You must check this box or obtain an update before you file this return.  To receive an update, select Check for Updates froth TurboTax menu to go directly to our Web Site.

When I check for updates everything is up to date.

When will turbotax update the forms so that it can calculate the penalty?

Form 2210 is tentatively expected to be available in TurboTax on February 25. It will not necessarily be available first thing that morning; it could be late in the day, Pacific time. And the date is subject to change.

You can see a list of the current expected availability dates at the following link.

Just filled out my taxes using Windows CD download (Deluxe) version.  Noticed form 2210 is wrong on page 3 and has data in column (b) and it should be blank for 2020.  This leads to errors in columns (c) and (d).  Says taxes are underpaid when in fact they are overpaid.  The 1040 shows no penalty but form 2210 doesn't support that conclusion.  Used Annualized Income method.

FYI - my latest installed updates are March 4.

I spent 3 hours on the phone with Turbo Tax to resolve. Fix was I had to sign out of every location and reset web cache on every browser in order to finally bring back option to delete Form 2210. I had to file my taxes without the being allowed to use Form 2210. I was so frustrated I just submitted my taxes without Form 2210, which likely resulted in me paying more in taxes. Turbo Tax did nothing to help me feel better about the situation. I asked for a refund or a little help with the $200 I paid to use the service and they said “um.....no”.  I can confidently report that I will not use Turbo Tax again.

After trying to resolve this same issue with Form 2210 in the Online version I spoke with TurboTax  representative Dana.  I informed her I was trying to just go to the form directly and change the uncooperative inputs. She suggested using the desktop version, which is the old TurboTax version I was familiar with.  Next year I'm going back to the desktop version.  Was able to go directly to the forms and update the withholding amounts correctly.

As of 5-7-21 the first quarter payment on 2210 is only half of what I paid as an estimate on 7-14-20. On the 2210 penalty worksheet the correct full payment is listed. I am using the Windows downloaded Deluxe version. Any thoughts on getting the correct amount on the form 2210 before the filing deadline next week?

    Thanks.

After posting I tried one more time to fix the 2210. It finally allowed me to override the error in the estimated amounts paid on line 19 column a for July 2020. Success !!

Still waiting and it's way past Feb 25th. Any updates as to when you will have this error corrected?

TurboTax Premere had (has) an error on Form 2210, Line 10, Box a.   The calculated value was not the same as either of two candidate values (the OR (Otherwise)) condition in the instructions.

After getting help from their helpline, it turned out the fix (a workaround) was to place an "X" in D in Part III of Form 2210.  This was changed by redoing the interview. I had had an X in both C and D.  TurboTax got (gets) confused when both C and D are Xed.

Quite frankly, I don't know what the difference between C and D is, but it works right with only D.

TurboTax should fix this defect, but the workaround is ok
