Have you checked this link to make sure all your forms are available for efile?
Use this link to reference when your tax forms will be available. You can search by TurboTax Product and for IRS and State-Specific Forms.
Yes, all of my forms are available for e-file according to that site. The RD-109NR form just became available for e-file today but I'm still running into the same issue, so I'm not sure how accurate that is.
I have the same issue while trying to do business 2024 tax
Sigh. Same as you, @ianfarris98... I've tried twice today to transmit my (federal, MO, KCMO) taxes and gotten the error both times. I double-checked the Intuit tax form availability page (https://form-status.app.intuit.com/tax-forms-availability/formsavailability?albRedirect=true&product...) and it says that Form RD-109 is available. So I don't know what the hangup is now...
Make sure you've disabled all anti-virus software (including modem). This has often resolved the issue.
If you're using TurboTax Desktop, try a Manual Update.
You can also try filing just your Federal return, to see if it's a state issue. Here's more info on Filing Federal and State Returns Separately.
I am having the exact same issue - total failure to transmit if federal, state, and local tax e-file. Kansas City, MO as well. Reattempted 2/27, still failed to transmit.
There is no antivirus software on my computer, @MarilynG1. And I have also cleared my cache several times. There is no reason to think this is a technical issue on the part of the users...
But I do want to thank you for suggesting that federal returns could be filed separately... as far as I can tell, no one from TurboTax has even mentioned that on this thread. I will remember that in the future!
Today is Saturday, March 1, 2025, two days after the date the KCMO forms were supposed to be available. I decided to try filing my complete return (federal, MO, KCMO) again... and the transmission went through! My federal return has been accepted, and state is still pending. Keeping my fingers crossed! Hope everyone else has similar luck...
I am getting the same "We could not e-file your return for the following reason: Tax Year 2024 transmissions are not available." when trying to submit amended returns to via efile for Federal and Georgia (Oregon requires paper apparently for amended returns) It is very frustrating!
Our online forms availability tool shows that the Georgia amended return form 500X is available for printing, but is not expected to become available for e-filing until March 13, 2025. This should account for the message you saw. Check the tool for updates, and try e-filing again when the form is ready.
Otherwise, when you see a message that identifies a transmission issue, you might check your Internet connection. Try turning your router off and back on, and then try submitting again. Hardwired connections work best.
In the alternative, you could try a different browser. Chrome generally works well.
It is March 9, 2025 and I am getting "Tax Year 2024 transmissions are not available. Turbo Tax Business is not ready to process Tax Year 2024 for this return. " I need to submit my return for my LLC before March 15. How do I fix this? Originally my 8453-PE was permanently updated for March 9, 2025 so I waited until today to transmit but I am still getting the error. HELP!! It needs to be transmitted today since there is no way to change the date on the 8453-PE.
Update, following suggestions above, I filed the federal successfully. The state (CT) is still saying "Tax Year 2024 transmissions are not available. Turbo Tax Business is not ready to process Tax Year 2024 for this return". I focused on the I tried it using State Issued pin from last year and I tried it with putting in the information Wks. I tired it with the State Issued PIN. Then tried with total income amount from 2023 return (like for Federal). I looked at the forms at that link - there are none waiting, only some are unsupported and not on my list.
Guessing again: Connecticut requires e-file and requires I attach my Federal 1065 including K-1s. Assuming that's why I am still getting the transmissions not ready error. How do I do this?
This link is only for individual returns not business.
The same issue with CT, but why is the FEDERAL not being filed? Also, the deadline for LLCs is March 15 (17). Intuit is saying it would be available on March 21st (a tad backward, no). What is going on? Prior years were never a problem.
Any WORKABLE solution other than scrapping TurboTax
Thanks
(1) Why would any availability be AFTER an IRS (State of Federal) due date?
(2) Why would the following NOT be supported WHEN TurboTax requires you to add and attach it to your return
US | Form 8453-PE | Partnership Declaration for an IRS e-file Return | Yes | Unsupported |
AND does the state require filing electronically and not accept hard copies?
I don't understand this, and it hurts my head every time I think about it.
Any takers on some answers?
Thanks in advance
David
