MY REFUND WAS LESS THAN I EXPECTED
There can be a number of reasons why your refund was less than the amount you expected. First of all, look carefully at your actual tax returns. There is sometimes confusion about the amount of refund to expect when users misinterpret the “summary” they saw in TurboTax. The amount of your refund is on your tax return. Federal refund line 20 on Form 1040 State tax forms are all different so we cannot tell you what line to look at on your state form. BUT it is important to actually LOOK at your tax return forms yourself and see the amounts of your tax refunds and/or tax due. A lot of confusion would be avoided by doing that.
TurboTax does not receive feedback from the IRS regarding money that was offset from your refund. If you owed back taxes, child support, student loan debt, etc. you will receive a letter of explanation from the IRS in several weeks. The WMR site will contain a message regarding your offset. It is also possible that the IRS caught a mistake you made and reduced your refund.
It is also possible that your state reduced your refund for debts owed in your state—if the state reduced your state refund you will receive a letter from the state.

Be aware also that your Federal refund and state refund do NOT come together. Federal and state tax returns are processed by two completely separate entities. There is no rule as to which one will come first,
Did you choose to have TT fees deducted from your Federal refund? (Remember that if you did that, you also agreed to an extra refund processing fee of $39.99)

I just received a check from Civista Bank. The last mention of it appears to be from 2019 in conjunction with a different bank? Is this a legit payment?
I realized after I had submitted my taxes I put in the wrong routing number so was expecting either a notification to correct it or something from turbotax. I just don't want to open myself up to a fraudulent payment.
@tleewhit81 Were you having the fees deducted from your refund? Yes that is the bank Turbo Tax uses to take the fees out. If they couldn't deposit it to your bank account they mail you a check. There might be another fee to mail the check.
Yes I did. Thanks! Was worried since it didn't say anything about turbotax in the letter.
Where is my check, I don't have direct deposit so my check should have come to my address [address removed]. I was giving a track number the number is [removed]
I did not have direct deposit so I should have received a paper check
WHRE IS MY CHECK
I was given a tracking number to track my check the tracking number IS NOT MY PHONE NUMBER THE TRACKING NUMBER IS 044I-1119-1124-659
@Zelia55 If you are referring to your refund check, you will have to contact the IRS. Turbo Tax will not know the status of anyone's refund. If the IRS website says processing, this means they are working on it.

You don't HAVE to do any of it - you can pay your TT fees up front with a credit card and save yourself all those fees.
I never did receive a check for 2018 filing taxes from Civista bank. The IRS deposit my funds to an account to Civista bank on Apirl 10 2019 as per the letter I received from IRS.
You will need to check with Civista Bank since that is where the IRS indicated the funds were sent.
DID NOT RECEIVE ANY CHECK
NO
My daughter received her refund check through CIVISTA bank. Not only did they take out the tax preparation services at $110 they also took a $40 refund transfer processing fee and a $30 returned item fee. I have no idea why her bank would have rejected the refund. But it is absolutely ridiculous that we are paying a fee for something we had no control over. I will seriously reconsider before using TurboTax again!
