Can I file my taxes without a IRS Pin? I never got one in the mail.

Already contacted irs there not sending mail at this time cause of the corono virus but can file by mail mail without ip pin according to the irs advocate I talked to also the irs ip protection plan office said the same.

If you are unable to obtain your IP PIN you can wait until the IRS resumes normal operations (you may  need to file an extension of time to file) or you can mail your tax return in for processing. 

If you mail your return for processing, you can expect significant delays.

I filed my 2017 and 2018 tax return with my ip pin and just recently found out the IRS DIDNT PROCESS MY RETURN because "there computer is system got a red flag" I was a hurricane Harvey's victim of coarse I had to move and because of the change of address it thought it was a idenity theft case well that what I was told it was because of my change of address. Anyway I had to go through alot red tape to verify my oun idenity fortinitly I had a letter they sent me.spent 8 hours yesterday just try to fix the crap that they put on me key word is try unfortunate they will not lift the ip program which they pme on I didnt ask for it They told me I am on it indefinitely with no chance of getting it off  I was one mad son of a gun. I was told it was there to help me not gender me but it has it had caused me a delay in filling taxes receiving my stimulous and the ability to use efile and the irs tools I am locked out they have hurt my idenity not helped it.

What actions can I take if the IRS  fails to send me me ip pin which they are suppose to send each tax year? They put me on it but they dont stay on top of it I am 55 years old  their program puts them into too much controll over my tax benefits and there cooperation to fix the problem well with t just isn't there.

Unfortunately, none. The IP PIN is required to file electronically if one has been assigned to you. If you do not receive it and you are unable to retrieve it using the IP PIN retrieval tool (found here: IRS IP PIN Retrieval), you must file your return by mail.

The irs tools are bs it has too many flaws. The whole program has to many flaws for example I sent my Ip pin with my 2018 tax return which was suppose to secure my filing process but didnt now there saying you can file your 2019 without it with no problems. I'm sorry but I can't help to feal that the IRS is the biggest scam organization world history. Ut saddens me to feal that way but I do.

Call this number [phone number removed] they will help you call early and expect a long wait at this number you can verify who you are you won't get your ip pin but will direct you in the right d direction.

Yes you can paper file without the pin number it may just take longer you cannot file electronically but you can most definitely file paper without it.

Do you mean an IP PIN?  These usually aren't required for filing.  However, if you received an IP PIN or CP01A notice from the IRS in the past (or you opted into the pilot program) you must use your 2021 IP PIN to validate your identity when you file your 2021 return.  If you no longer have access to this, please follow the instructions in the link below on how to obtain your IP PIN.

I assume you are asking about your 6-digit IP PIN (Identity Protection PIN.)   If you lost the IRS letter with this year's IP PIN, you may be able to retrieve the IP PIN online at the IRS website.   See this IRS article for instructions:
