I am figuring out its about making the return not eligible for the free edition and upgrade the e-file to 59.00 because it's no longer a simple filing.
In order to file with the 1095A it's no longer a simple return for the free editon..
Just got off the phone with Healthcare. gov there is no plan in their system for an ACA plan for me and I was the only one on a past plan.
If you choose to make the dummy form with the zero's and the $1.00 that changes your filing status from simple to having to file a premium edition.
It should only prompt an upgrade if you need to repay Advanced Premium Tax Credit and that would be to the Deluxe version, not the Premier. Does it give a message that you need to repay the credit?
Is this the workaround that you used?
None of this helps. It is now July 2023, and nothing has worked. I have reached out to Marketplace six times since March 2023. Each time I spend 45 minutes being passed around to customer service agents. Twice they indicated they mailed out the form I needed. I have never received the form to fix the no 1095-A issue. I am not going to mail in my taxes. I paid the TurboTax fee back in April before the deadline. Money was wasted on 2022 tax filing after using TurboTax for 20 years.

I have forgotten to put 0's for the Marketplace identifier and Policy number. Would it still get rejected?
Probably ... why are you putting anything in the 1095-A section if you did not get a form 1095-A ?
The Marketplace identifier and Policy number are required entries.
ditto problem! and it wont let me e-file due to the form we wont get cause we have work place insurance! HELP??
If you cannot e-file because TurboTax is asking for Form 1095-A, you might have answered the question about Affordable Care incorrectly in the program. To fix this:
If the return was already e-filed and was rejected, it could be because someone in your tax return is in the IRS database as having been covered by Marketplace insurance at some point during the year. If you do not have or did not think you needed Form 1095-A, please contact your state's Marketplace insurance to confirm whether anyone in your household was covered.

We are on year 3 of having someone file fraudulent applications for us on the marketplace. 2 of those years, an actual policy was issued. In 2022 and now this year, I'm having to wait for a voided 1095 in order to file. I would suggest calling the marketplace and see if there was an application or policy under your name or SS#, or your spouse or children if applicable. The first year, it was under my husband's SS#. The next it was just his name. This last one now includes my nickname and last initial.

I had a similar experience. My e-filed return was rejected/fixed/rejected nine (9) times over this Form 1095-a issue. I have workplace health insurance and have not/are not acquiring insurance through the marketplace in any tax year. Therefore, I am not required to file a Form 1095-a. It really makes me angry that TurboTax isn't able to fix this seemingly straightforward problem.
