I successfully filed my federal and state tax returns electronically, and I have received confirmation that both returns were accepted by the IRS and my state. However, I am unable to print my tax return.
When I log into my TurboTax account:
- The system behaves as if my return was never completed, prompting me to continue the filing process.
- When I follow the prompts to the end, it confirms that both my federal and state returns were already transmitted and accepted.
- Despite this confirmation, I cannot access the “Download/Print Return (PDF)†option in my account.
I’ve tried:
- Logging in on different browsers and devices.
- Clearing my cache and cookies.
- Using the TurboTax Print Center directly.
None of these steps resolved the issue.
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
Make sure you are logged in using the same credentials as you used to prepare your tax return. You can use this link to verify any accounts you may have under your information.
Once you have confirmed that, please use the directions in this link to verify your e-file status. If the returns have been filed and accepted, the status would show up here.
Finally, once you have confirmed you are logged into the correct account, see this link for instructions on how to save a pdf copy of your tax return. Once you have saved your pdf copy, you should be able to print your tax return out.
I cannot get past the first "link" you provided. In following the instructions from that link I always end up at the page shown below from a screenshot.
Its a bit absurd as all this page does is behaves as if I don't even have the software. I can collow the 2nd link and, as before...the E-file Status shows both returns as "Accepted". Finally, I can print my return and save a PDF file BUT...everytime I log onto my tax file from the Desktop version it continues to present itself as a return that has not yet been completed.
Glad you got your returns Filed, Saved and Printed! Yes, that screen is odd, but at this point, it would probably be safe to uninstall/re-install TurboTax to see if you get the same behavior. When the Install Screen comes up, it may ask if you want to install Visual C+; go ahead and do that.

Do you have the software desktop program installed on your computer? That is completely separate from the Online version. Your online account won't show your return or that you filed from the Desktop program. It's saying you haven't started or finished an Online return.
